I have 6 steps on curves on my taxiways, i think i eyeballed it from Rhino. You have few of those, you can well afford 7 steps i think.

whats the difference between doing the top of the cylinder like that than to tri it up so all the edges meet at a single vertex in the middle at the top of the cylinder/rocket?
There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

40k is deep like that.

If you have a vertex in the middle, you have two unnecessay triangles.

Ye, for a low poly mesh you shouldn't have a central vertex unless you intend to make a cone or you need it for smoothing purposes.

But for a high poly model its better to have one to get better distribution from the sub-division in my experience.

Also Plans to create M16A2.

Make sure you download and install all the latest updates for 2013, there was a super annoying bug in the uv editor where it would crash max if you tried to stitch a face to a edge that did not exist (where in all other versions of max you would hear the 'ding' noise') they also fixed a few other things with the updates.
