For what purpose excatly, in terms of getting a better idea of what you need. Do you want information about the minimum heights for how low a structure can be for a solider to walk, crouch or crawl under something, or do you want to know how high something needs to be to fully cover a solider when standing, crouched or prone etc?

If it's for mapping, FH2 has this very nifty static object mappers can use to see what the height of a player is. Like this:

Recommend Prone Cover Height: 0.6m +


Max Standing Firing Position Cover Height: 1.47m
Max Crouched Firing Position Cover Height: 0.95m

It isn't, just mentioned that FH2 already has this in their files. No problem to use this in your own editor for proper 'measuring' a player's height.

In Max I have two guys who help me out with this stuff. "Fred" and "Bob" :D

Fred is a normal player model I stick around mainly for a basic reference of how high the BF2 player model is :)

Bob is a Cylinder that represents the max width and heights for all stances :D

Most of the time thou I work off measurements rather than a visual aid.

These are useful in static making but for the BF2 editor, where you have the player camera there isn't much need for them IMO.

change the keyboard settings for the editor so its no longer ctrl and conflicting with other editor controls. Can find them in: \Battlefield 2\bf2editor\Settings\Controls.con

I made an test with a tunnel at 49 degree

Being able to stand it has to be about:

1,3m tunnel height (1,25m is too low)
same as about 1.98m vertical height

Being able to crouch it has to be:

1,1m tunnel height (1m is too low)
same as about 1,68m vertical height
