First of all, I can't wait 'til this mod comes out! Second, here are my negative reactions to the demo:
- Sniper scope doesn't move, it's completly still!
- Engineers weapon doesn't have ironsight. WTF!?
- People can take way to much damage.
- This "hit" indicator that comes up when you hit someone.
- No stance up/down button.
- Can't cook nades.
- You must hold the crouch-button.
- You can't roll while in prone!!
- Doesn't seem to be any bullet drop with the scope. I want to be able to adjust the scope-elevation like in Joint Operations, that was great!
Fortunately many of these things can be corrected with a mod, so my hopes are high! Comments anyone...?

Well coming from AA and having played it around 300 hours I sort of expect the weapon to act in a certain way. For instance even if the iron sight is visually on target and you're crouching or laying on the ground it still seem that 90% of the actual bullets go astray...GABBA wrote: all this talk about inncaurate weapons is starting to piss me off. it think the weapon's are fine and maybe some poeple should go back to the range before they have a go at the accuracy....The only thing i do agree about is the sniper rifles....
And I don't think there's a correlation between accuracy in standing, crouching and prone positions. A little disappointing actually, possible realism mod here?

YEA i know what you mean i was using the american support guy and i was hammering away at this dudes head (i was prone) and the bullets went around hes head..i shot 3 fkin clips to see how in accurate i was in prone and lets just say after playing cod for about 649 hours of it the iron aim for cod was on if you missed it was you not the rifle.
proof ^^

personally i like the way you control your stance in the BF games, holding the button to crounch instead of just toggling it. a stance up down button is annoying because youd have to click it twice or hold it a little longer to go from standing to prone where as you can just dive into it by hitting z.
i think its pretty much agreed the ballistics in BF2 can be helped greatly by the PR team.

Actually there would be different keys for crouch and prone. C for crouch and Z for prone, with the toggle featureBrokenArrow wrote: a stance up down button is annoying because youd have to click it twice or hold it a little longer to go from standing to prone where as you can just dive into it by hitting z.
And Alt-toggle for sprinting and shift for toggling the speed from walk to "speewalk".

IRT Broken Arrow:
I agree with you there, I'm a MOHAA/BF player and I find toggle crouches to be the devil, because you need quick response sometimes, so when you need to quickly make a break for it, you can just let go of the button instead of having to depress the entire thing, instead of the button having to go up and down one full duration, all it has to do is be released (up) to get the job done quicker...

Very true, I loved the iron sights for CoD they were dead on, if your prone with iron sights, your gun will shoot as accuratly as its supposed to.snipurs wrote:YEA i know what you mean i was using the american support guy and i was hammering away at this dudes head (i was prone) and the bullets went around hes head..i shot 3 fkin clips to see how in accurate i was in prone and lets just say after playing cod for about 649 hours of it the iron aim for cod was on if you missed it was you not the rifle.
Everyday I become a little bit more thankful of the PR mod
I cant wait to play as game where CQC is ruled by the shotgun, mid range is proven best with an AK or M-16, and you can only hit a long range target with a sniper rifle... on the first or second try =)

to think that bf1942 has better bullet tragectery then bf2 and 42 took place in ww2.. and this is now where combat could take place miles away from eachother(missles arty) and grunts might not even see the enemy if anybody even seen the vides from iraq they just blew the place up instead of fighting insidet the house they would blow the **** out of it.

That's not completely true, in Fallujah they sent soldiers and marines pretty much house to house. Although there was a lot of what you described.snipurs wrote:to think that bf1942 has better bullet tragectery then bf2 and 42 took place in ww2.. and this is now where combat could take place miles away from eachother(missles arty) and grunts might not even see the enemy if anybody even seen the vides from iraq they just blew the place up instead of fighting insidet the house they would blow the **** out of it.

my point was that the bullets are weaker then they are in 42, and that you would have better chance hitting a enemy while running and praying then prone and 3 round busting

That is not a problem in AA, for intance you could be lying on the ground and if you would like to get up and sprint, just press "forward" and tab that alt key quickly. Same goes if you're crouching and advancing slowly (in crouch mode you're more accurate in AA) you could again just simply tab that alt-key to start sprinting. It's just that when you need to press a key down constantly your whole hand sort of goes "heavy". Having played the demo for a couple of hours I sort of got grip of it but still prefer the AA way.[R-DEV wrote: JS.Fortnight.A] I find toggle crouches to be the devil, because you need quick response sometimes, so when you need to quickly make a break for it, you can just let go of the button instead of having to depress the entire thing, instead of the button having to go up and down one full duration, all it has to do is be released (up) to get the job done quicker...![]()

Snipurs-
Your absolutely right about the physics for the bullets accuracy of the weapons etc and i get pretty angry when perfectly lined up shots with EA/DICE's confused m24 dont cause my target to meet their respective maker and almost as angry when just as perfect rifle shots dont put lead on target as they should but i have to keep telling myself this IS just a demo and hopefully the full version of BF2 even without a patch will be worlds apart from their demo (which has me hooked all the same)
