I am having major lag issues when i join a server. my ping is around 45-75.
Pc specs; Windows 7 64 bit SP1, Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz, 6.00Gb RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series.
I run the game at max stetting when i create a local co-op game and have no lag. But on multiplayer it lags even on medium settings. I run the game in max resolution. 1980 x 1050 or something like that. At 60hz refresh rate.
How can i fix this lag?

Re: Lag issue
Check ingame if your ping goes up and down, if its stable it might be from your hardware

Re: Lag issue
HD 4800 doesn't sound that powerful to me... o_O
And you just mean Full HD, 1920x1080, huh? Not 1680x1050?

How much do big maps use?Daniel wrote:512MB is not enough for big maps on high settings. fact.
What are your FPS at the time of this 'lag'?CrazyNinja0 wrote:I am having major lag issues when i join a server. my ping is around 45-75.
If you have some kind of on-screen fps counter [like fraps] you can use that, or if you don't you can open the console in-game (~ key) and type:
renderer.drawfps 1
This will tell you your FPS. I believe it's the first of the two numbers.

between 500 and 1000 MB of graphic memory I guess, but I know that my 2GB RAM from my older PC where not enough to play big maps, so at least you need more than 2 GB RAM (not graphics memory) to play on high with no lag and high fps...

Saying fact, and then not knowing the figure doesn't lend you much credence... 4GB of system RAM is well known to yield decent performance with PR.Daniel wrote:between 500 and 1000 MB of graphic memory I guess, but I know that my 2GB RAM from my older PC where not enough to play big maps, so at least you need more than 2 GB RAM (not graphics memory) to play on high with no lag and high fps...
