deviation already resets from prone to standing.

I wish cages, slats and ERA would be considered too. Cages make giant diameter HEAT warheads weapons a joke.

HAT kit's broken-ness has been addressed with the change from two, to one kit/team, recently. This has solved a problem and has created its own. The kit is so useful, that should a more clever player have use of one, and on the other team a random smurf in an inf squad grabs one and gets shot in the face like he usually would, then a large advantage, perhaps too large is held by one side. The same occurs with something like jets, where if one side totally betters the other, one has a huge advantage, but of course thats what counters such as AAVs, stingers, and emplacements are for. No such counter exists for a jack in the box as far as I know.

I will be making a post on all servers forums when 1.0 comes out outlining why HAT kits need to be claimable assets, that might help fix this problem, but I still see it as an issue.

How often do you fire a big wire guided missile from the prone position? Backblast, plus the awkwardness of aiming should make you think twice about firing from prone...

Mouthpiece are you referring to "It would be much nicer if deviation would at least slightly reset when HAT would get up from his prone position" or "It really should be covered in PR Manual. This kind of knowledge decides the outcome of battle. "?

I don't know about the PR Manual, but as i told you, there are no variables or deviation functions available in bf2 to reset the deviation generally on stance changes.

@40mm:
No, Deviation doesn't necessarily reset from prone to standing, if you know how to avoid it.

Yes, they have tripods, but it's for people to see it's not impossible to fire from prone.

is that so? Probably, but if so, at least there is still some kind of delay of firing from prone to standing, whereas crouch to standing is an instant shot.

I still think that a deployable mode for the prone position should be added for several AT launchers it adds to the realism factor as well as practicality ( I feel a bit naked when standing in the middle of the desert with a HAT on kashan...)

more like it never does, just aim down the sights wait, stand up, shoot.

it be real nice if it would increase a bit when standing, because it can be used on anything, or at least adding a delay sort of like in BF3 where you cant shoot for a bit when you go prone to something else (vice versa wouldnt be bad either)

I think including a delay for no jack in the boxing as well as a deployable mode for players while prone (for concealment) should fix this issue and balancing.

You can already fire HATs like the russian, german and isreal ones while prone. I am not sure if chinese HATs can be fired from prone (in reallife), maybe someone can do a quick research about that? But i am pretty sure, that guided HATs are generally not fire from prone and that a soldier carrying a guided HAT with one missile, wouldn't be able to carry another tripod.
And as we can simulate other soldiers to carry/deploy tripods (unlike in PR:A2) at BF2, i think not being able to fire guided HATs from prone is only fair. Even more, as guided HATs already have a huge advantage to "non-guided" HATs. Give the unguided HATs at least one advantage. ;)

About the jack-in-the-box problem, i have already told you, that currently there is no way to "punish" it via deviation or to insert a new delay to prevent it. I have already looked into it myself, but if you find something or can even "mod" some other delay, variable please feel free to post it at the "Community Modding" forums and i will look into it myself.
