Re: The russian HAT and LAT kits
The way the Russian HAT is now is useless, the sight has been off ever since the rpg drop changed in .96. I my experience too the Russian HAT is fairly hard to use at long ranges.

Sights are only useful if you want to look at tank more clearly(which is slightly difficult with ironsights).
And their accuracy are just worse than RPG-26.

Re: The russian HAT and LAT kits
I have used the Russian (scoped) HAT to great effectiveness in its current state. I was even able to shoot down a hovering Lynx at ~200m. I use the 300m line (center of the optic) as the zero, and range down from there. It does seem very strange that we have the legitimate scope texture instead of a placeholder, but it is far from useless. The open center line of the lense makes lateral acquisition very easy, and elevation estimation nice and clear.
Also, It may just be me, but I am quite sure the right-click LAT kit RPGs are much more accurate than the insurgent versions (thanks to the bipod?), magnified optic or no.

No matter the case we need something more efficient to counter other HATs

Re: The russian HAT and LAT kits
Infantry is usually the best counter to AT. Other then the horribly aligned scope I feel the Russian HAT is a very very powerful weapon, it's just used different then a guided HAT. I have scored hundreds of kills over 300 meters with that HAT kit, granted you are much more prone to error without the guidance but you can compensate for that by closing the distance between you and your target (most of the time).

if you dont like the optic either learn how it works or take iron sight.

RPG-26 - Anti-Tank Disposable Rocket Launcher - History, Specs and Pictures - Military, Security and Civilian Guns and Equipment

Re: The russian HAT and LAT kits
is rpg-26 already in game? lol probably never used it
I dont have any problem with the russian HAT kit we have now. I use either Iron sight or scope no problem.
but there is not many people who does.

Yes, RPG-26 is the LAT kit for Russians and it's so much better than the HAT, because it goes straight and the sights are reliable.

russian hat kit sight is reliable aswell.
I know how to use it and I dont recommend to use it above 500 meters. otherwise its easy to hit stationary tanks and apcs with it when they are within 500 meters.

From WGP PR Wiki:
Just ignore the green numbers and lines, there are for target distance estimation.

It feels silly that the Russian HAT carries an AK-74M and 2 PG-7VRs for the RPG and the Militia only has a tiny Skorpion and is able to carry only one PG-7VR.

From what i know, this picture isnt correct. Middle of your screen is just at the line that runs above the horizontal numbers (the bottom of the doubleboxes).
So unless the rpg fires higher like the Spg, the zeroing point is this point (5 on the left side, 3 on the right side). Plus i have always aimed with this point (plus considering missile drop over distance) and managed to hit armor several hundreds of meters away.

Re: The russian HAT and LAT kits
Aren't there any Russians (or anyone for that matter) who have used the same scope on the RPG and can explain it to us?

Re: The russian HAT and LAT kits
No there wouldn't be because the sight isn't aligned with the RPG round like the SPG is currently. So where you would shoot IRL for a hit at 100m and ingame is different.
