[Help] BF2_r.exe crashes in 0.957

I'm migrating "initial build" of faction to 0.957. Something wrong in objects\kits, pr.exe ctd in loading objects at 14%.

Would like to debug, but as said in title, BF2_r.exe started to crash right in start of loading map.

Is this because of 9.57 or am i missing something?

I've had that same thing happen when trying to run the Dutch Forces through bf2_r.exe. I wanted to check that later, as I thought it was a Dutch build-problem, but seems it's not..........

as a small note, the '14% CTD without message in windowed mode' is mostly down to a kit item conflict on the kits.

to be sure, just replace the factiosn with working ones, if that doesnt work than it must be something else

Ty again Leusch. I'm aware that i've got a bug in kits. Trying to locate it. Something has changed in .957 in kits i suppose?

That's why i'd like run debug-mode, 'cause i don't get anykind of error msg and bf2_r.exe crashes so this is my original problem...

Heh, dunno how this bug slipped though. We'll see if we can get it fixed and get an updated file posted for people wanting to use the debugger.

I will add a parameter where you can disable that specific event when running the debugger since it was added in 1.5 and the debugger doesn't have it defined since it wasn't updated in so much time.

The hotfix already has it, it'll be in the clientside fix as well.

Ty for quick answer AfterDune. Anyroad as i'm not a server admin got no access to hotfix.

So is the client hotfix going to be published soon? Or as AncientMan mentioned, is it possible to get bf2_r.exe eg. by e-mail?

Just replace your mods/pr/python/game folder with the one in this zip:

http://realitymodfiles.com/dbzao/python_bf2_r_fix.zip

Then edit mods/pr/python/game/__init__.py and replace False with True:

Hey guys. Sorry for bumping this old thread. But I'm trying to get the debugger to work aswell. And it's still not working.

my shortcut:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2_r.exe" +modPath mods/pr +restart 1 +menu 1 +fullscreen 0 +szx1024 +szy 768 +developer 1 +ignoreAsserts 1
I also did dwhat dbsaid.
However I get this error.

It comes about 10 times with different objects with wrong texture coordinates or something.
I can click it away but then the maps looks all funky:

but that's asad khal. Which does load. However when I try the map I'm actually trying to load( karez Offensive, Wicca's map) It gives some extra error:

after which it's CTD's. Any help would be appreciated.

That error is normal, nothing to worry about. But if you get "too many errors", maps can look quite bad, yes. I don't know how or why, but it's just like that I'm afraid. I have the same when I load Overlord in the debugger, sometimes it works fine, sometimes it's really bad :o .

Sometimes I just have to remove some vehicles or statics and it works somewhat OK then.

I can't click threw the last error. It crashes. And the terrain thingy?

That error is always fatal. The terrain glitching is as I said, usually caused by having too many errors. Remove vehicles and such, see if it's better.

Also, check the logfiles.

Wicca's stupid map :p Deleted all object spawners. Removed all objects of the mainbases that caused errors. In the end it still crashes. In total it loads 1500mb of memory. I'm guessing it's just the heavy memory load that makes it crash. Any ideas what else I can strip down to make it load?
