Black Gold version 2 has a lot less statics and overall has been optimised quite a bit. Results with the performance so far look pretty good even with the same view distance, but there will be a public beta test soonish to make sure all the old issues have been fixed on a wide range of systems.tankninja1 wrote:Will Black Gold be made more computer friendly it causes me to CTD 50% of the time for no real reason

Would Falklands, Vietnam and Normandy be automatically included in PR 1.0, or will remain as a mini-mod?

Going to go right out and say that the teasing/sparsity of any major information has hit a pretty preposterous level at this point. Not in a good way.

How come the Militia is worse equipped than the Taliban, e.g the Taliban rifleman kits have RKGs and F1, and how come the Milita HAT kit only gets one rocket, especially considering the HAT kit is fairly lightly armed as the side arm is a Scorpion?

Re: Ask the [Dev]s a (?)
Dear Devs,
What is the size of BF2/PR, 8GB - more? If I remember correctly, my connection required about 4 hours to download each new patch.
How does World of Tanks work?
It's my understanding that a limited amount of info is downloaded and installed on your PC. The rest is contained on their servers. - Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know enough about it.
Is there anyway that PR could operate like that? (point is moot if my WoT assumption is incorrect)
Between the BF2 cd, downloading all of the modules, patches, map packs, it could take a considerable amount of time to download and install and I know of some casual gamers that have opted not to install PR due to that reason.
Just curious

I'm sure a lot of us will have some games once 1.0 is released. I know I will.

Its actually really really really really hard to play old versions of stuff when you've played with the newer versions. When I play the Burning Sands in 973 I just keep thinking 'how embarrassing...the new version is so much better'Stealthgato wrote:So right now the DEVs themselves are bored of PR?![]()

Once you played 1.0 it's pretty hard to go backStealthgato wrote:So right now the DEVs themselves are bored of PR?![]()
Minimods are sideprojects by a very few DEVs usually. They and of course the rest of the team as well are still working heavily on 1.0. We're not having the manpower we had on earlier releases anymore which makes things going slower. But that doesn't decrease the value of current contributions.saXoni wrote: So busy they even made mini-mods.
Hate reading such comments, makes me wondering why I spend my free time on a free project...
