The reason everybody's complaining is because we actually care about what you guys have made, but news is incredibly thin when there's any at all. You keep telling us v1.0 is going to be awesome and teasing us through various means, but concrete information (which is what people want, even in small doses) as to what this awesomeness actually is is very rare. Again, your ratio of tease to real information is, IMO, absurd and it's making people bitchy.
To be frank, your game is wonderful. Your public relations, not so much.

I agree militia should be better equipped than the donkey riding Talibantankninja1 wrote:How come the Militia is worse equipped than the Taliban, e.g the Taliban rifleman kits have RKGs and F1, and how come the Milita HAT kit only gets one rocket, especially considering the HAT kit is fairly lightly armed as the side arm is a Scorpion?
Also will there be more advanced AA weapons or will the system in which AA weapons work be changed?

But please keep in mind that even creating proper media takes time which is unfortunately very rare at the moment.
We have something in the works which improves that, but you need to be a little more patient.

It is hard, the info is scarce these days mates. Maybe try a system like KSP devs have. just leak a picture every now and then (like one a week or so). might make the community happier and more active. cuz frankly, its at its lowest in a long time right now
but remember that whatever you do, we (I) will allways love you... *insert withney houston*

Will the British Forces get L129A1 as their DMR?
What about USMC and the M32?

To a certain degree, i would agree, but the point is, it has been optimised, that is a big plus for the majority, and a hnt that the DEVs are working on optimising. Yes some people ven prefer the overplayed Muttrah and still play it 24/7. That isnt the target audience though.Onil wrote:That's a matter of opinions really... some might actually prefer the current version.
Also, about the information, as it has been said... maybe a highlights thread named "various screens" or whatever that fits could be made and devs would just put in a random screen or two once/twice a week... Pressing print screen, saving, uploaading and posting the link takes no more than 2 minutes. Doesnt need to be huge wall of text that Rhino posts at his highlights (wich is cool if you have time to post)but only pictures ad maybe a sentence describing it. people want pictures, and dont want to read. One of the main aspects of good marketing. Im sure the majority of people, if not all, go through a highlight/blog to see the pictures first, and then go abck to the top and actually read the whole thing, or just enjoy the pictures some more before moving on.

Are the BRDM's butter wheels getting swapped with some actual tires in next release?

Than the answer to the do you plan to revert/change deviation to older better (IMO) deviation values is no.[R-DEV]Dr Rank wrote:Have you checked out PR:Falklands yet? The map/minimod includes some of the latest deviation tweaks which reduce weapon settle times and improve their overall accuracy.
The long answer is,we are moving this mod closer to COD and fast reactions will be more rewording than tactics and patients and your Squad of 30+ year olds will be mowed down by some 12yo kid with faster reactions, just like every other FPS on the market.

Deviation will receive further tweaking by K_Rivers and Predator in v.1.0. Falklands gives a small impression on what we are aiming for but shouldn't considered as final.
The aim is definitely not to make a COD out of it. But we want to prevent the situation were deviation is just ridiculous and feels very "gamey".

See, there is a line when deviation is just plain retardation and currently PR has gone past. It has been even worse in terms of nonsense and also worse in terms of lazer COD rifles back in the days, so the current one isnt as bad, but on the beta test and falklands the improvement is there. Guns are lethal not bullshit like now.Trooper909 wrote:Than the answer to the do you plan to revert/change deviation to older better (IMO) deviation values is no.

Guns are lethal and COD like right now.I can mow down your fully organized squad in a matter of seconds solo right now if I wanted to play that way.Tbh if I cared about lots of kills that's exactly how to do it.Heavy Death wrote:See, there is a line when deviation is just plain retardation and currently PR has gone past. I know the old devation setting (especially .7) was abit silly but atleast it promoted team play as you could not hope to kill anything on your own and also promoted suppression fire because guns wasn't that accurate anyway.
Also the guns where deadly accurate in .8 to those who knew how to use them correctly,You didn't get the bullshit you have now of a guy stopping dead from a full sprint and head shotting you. That to me is worse than even .7 I cant hit anything deviation system.
P.S Dem tags.

This is already happening. Why shouldn't it play a role in a FPS?Trooper909 wrote:Than the answer to the do you plan to revert/change deviation to older better (IMO) deviation values is no.

With a squad normally.Heavy Death wrote:What? So how do you normaly play? Intentionally missing the target, so youre not OP? Just... what?
I kinda rest my case that one guy with half decent reactions no squad no tactics lone wolfing is now the norm and that very guy is reworded with lots of kills.....Is this the PR forums?
Other than for keeping in the spirit of PR and getting kits there is no reason to join a squad as an infantryman anymore.

Your way of thinking is what got us into this disaster of a deviation system in the first place. Right now, the game, which is in the end a "GAME" not real life, has strayed far from the reality that it aimed to simulate and to quote the above dev, has become "gamey." For some reason, you think that more accurate weapons would detract from all the teamwork in PR because all of a sudden everyone would become lonewolves. Do you realize that by empowering the individual solidier in game with more realistic and accurate weapons, we are also greatly improving the effectiveness of the squad.Trooper909 wrote:With a squad normally.

You, including those similarly backward minded people, seem to believe that suddenly with more accurate weapons, PR will turn into COD, completely IGNORING the fact that PR hosts 64+ players, with all kinds of vehicles, tanks, apcs, and jets, and ultimately is in a totally different class of shooters.
In the end, this is a shooting game, NOT a role playing game. So if gun mechanics aren't good, gameplay isn't good.

Of course it will be "gamey"its a game.Explain to me why teamwork has got worse and worse with every update?I will use a different game to compare if you don't like the COD analogy. We are moving closer to vanilla BF2 with the weapon handling.
Deviation may be unrealistic and "gamey" but as far as I understand its the best that could be done on the refracter engine. Not being able to fire a mounted gun for a few seconds is also gamey spawning is gamey etc but hey its a game and a mod of a game aswell.
I must be alone in liking the old gun mechanics better I guess...I dislike the direction the mod is taking and can't bring myself to play .9 at all.I see it will only get worse.
