PR mumble....

I've new betta version PR mumble and it seems to work
only that I can hear but can't talk back.

In configure I put numpad 4 to talk back but no one can hear me.
I at 1st had realtek on board audio on my Asus Sabertooth 990FX
that it seems it doesn't like it so I put in creative labs USB-go mobile
sound card and off course BF-2 loves creative labs EAX-X-fi and I was still
getting to hear everyone but still couldn't talk back-most frustrating....

I use as administrator Win-7 Ultimate-64 bit OS.....
So what is up.....
Also the overlay doesn't seem to work.....

You can not remap the keybinds to anything in the numberpad, it instantly breaks PRMumble.

You'll need to uninstall PRMumble and follow the dircetions below, THEN reinstall PRmumble 1.0

Ok. Try this.

Uninstall mumble, and delete its configs. Easiest way is to use Win+R and type "%appdata%" and press enter.

It will open "C:\Users\*YOU*\AppData\Roaming"

Now lookup for folder named Mumble there and delete it. Reboot and do registry cleanup after that. ( CC Cleaner ie. )

Once you reboot install mumble again BUT make sure you right click on installer and check all on compatibiity tab except "Run in 256 colors" and "Run in 640x480 resolution". Use XP SP3 compatibility mode.

Run installer and when it prompts to start and run audio wizard shut it down. Find mumble icon and go to compatibility tab again. ( Remember do this on mumble shortcut now not the installer )

Check run as administrator there and Run is XP SP3 compatibility mode, nothing else!

Now you can start it and go trough audio wizard, make sure you follow instructions in this thread.

Let us know if its fixed after that.

Failure of the Overlay can be due to various problems, so we have to ask some questions:

1. are you using a administrator account in windows?
2. what version of BF2 do you own? EA Origin, Steam, retail cd etc.

BF-2 disk original-latest patch and I'm adminstrator.......

even if you are the only user on your computer you might have to start PR mumble as administrator.

I have to do it or it wont link.

I uninstalled the original and beta with revo uninstaller and we'll see if it works.....=)
