Well, trying to make a come back to PRBF2 I have come across Punkbuster Handshake error after joining a server.
Exact Error Message:
"Warning Service Communication Error: PnkBstrB.exe handshaking failure"
What I have done:
-Uninstalled everything BF2 and PR
-Re-downloaded/Installed
-manually updated Punkbuster
-Run with Admin privilages
-Control Panel/Admin Services/Services and selected Restart for PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB
I'm running Windows 7
Any ideas?

Re: Punkbuster Handshake error
WHICH FIREWALL AND ANTIVIRUS ARE YOU USING?
FIREWALL SET TO GAMING MODE?
oops caps,
You can downlado the free versio of bitsum processlasso, Process Lasso - Automate and optimize priorities, CPU affinities, power profiles, and much more! it is a task manager alternative that has a cool option to force a process to stay active, you can start up PR then alt tab out, open processlasso right click on pnkbstrB.exe and set it to "keep alive", and give it high priority.
How far into the server can you get? DO you load in completely then get kicked, or kicked instantly upon connecting?

Re: Punkbuster Handshake error
I disabled the Windows Firewall.
I don't see a firewall game mode.
I will try that program you recommended.
