Well in some kits you can attach bayonet but not being able to
fire too either isn't realistic.....

Unless I you've grenade launcher attached underneath you
should able to fire and use it-I was trained to use it in both
ways-and when get close quarters to melee.

We are aware that most bayonets are designed so that you can fire the weapon with them attached, and if we could do that ingame we would have... The problem is in BF2 you can't have a handheld weapon fire two types of projectile, you can only have it fire one type, which is why you have to change to the grade launcher weapon to fire it instead of firing it with the rifle too if you have a UGL attached to it...
