Probem with mumble keys

Hi guys,

I have a problem with mumble. If i run program without admin rights, my keys shortcuts looks like ok, but mumble doesn't work at game.

If i run it with admin when is something wrong with keys couz in configuration > shorcuts field is empty. I added "Local speach" myself, but i couldn't add key with i could talk to my squad becouse in options there is no such a key. If i try to choose PR COMNS that doesn't work either. But in this (run as admin) case program work into game and i could talk only using Local, tho.

I tryed to reinstall multi times, even try to fix my register using CCleaner, but it doesn't work. Any ideas ?

Hello foxis, welcome to the forums,

what OS are you using? XP, Vista, 7, 8?
32 bit or 64 bit OS?

Uninstall mumble, and delete its configs. Easiest way is to use Win+R and type "%appdata%" and press enter.

It will open "C:\Users\*YOU*\AppData\Roaming\"

Now lookup for folder named Mumble there and delete it. Reboot and do registry cleanup after that. ( CC Cleaner ie. )

Once you reboot install mumble again BUT make sure you right click on installer and check all on compatibiity tab except "Run in 256 colors" and "Run in 640x480 resolution". Use XP SP3 compatibility mode.

Run installer and when it prompts to start and run audio wizard shut it down. Find mumble icon and go to compatibility tab again. ( Remember do this on mumble shortcut now not the installer )

Check run as administrator there and Run is XP SP3 compatibility mode, nothing else!

Now you can start it and go trough audio wizard, make sure you follow instructions in this thread.

Let us know if its fixed after that.

I did just like you said and it's the same. Even my old bind keys is the same. I deleted mumble folder from there \AppData\Roaming\ , cleaned up registry with CCleaner. But looks like there are somewhere some files whitch don't allow to use fresh mumble.

Btw, when i clicked on installer right button, this what i got. I clicked on "Change settings for all users" but check boxes are inactive.

Are you running Windows as an Administrator user?
Make sure you log in as a administrator.
run PR_Mumble.msi as an administrator.
