these are my thoughts on insurgency been playing for 2years on a 6 month hiatus. i love the drop kit dynamic and i also realize that many maps are a product of former insurgency gamenodes but the way i would like it is that ANY map could be considered for insurgency, we gotta simplify the rules and make it more playable hell the insurgents already are FREAKING weird. We do not need any more tweaks we need a simple system. This is with a review of previous posts MANY ok! and also a love for those weird insurgents. Hell we cud use the militia as insurgent models on many maps u know so.

To fix insurgency==============================================
All insurgents spawn no kit is requested

5 minute no fire at start of round

Every 10 civis killed = one more cache. Arrest no penalty

Civi shields delt with via armour i.e. splash damage kills on civis allowed no direct fire

2 caches at a time on insurgent map

Caches are reveled by flag cap area of 150m being occupied by opfor for 5 mins , this is consecutive so squad one stays 3 mins squad 2 finds cache after 2 mins, random drive bys contribute seconds in effect.

150m rule dependant on map size

Regular spawn rate for civis/all insurgents

Drop kit become a civi after 1 minute

Civis can swim normal movement rate

cell leader rally point same as squad leader

remove clown car/teky wind shield

i have read and reread articles on this that ive seen on the forum and i feel
a major reason for people prefering sides on a map basis is

1.some maps just are very hard for insurgents huge open areas or few cache locations (i know there are about 100 but still)
2.base rape is so boring but a tactic you can use to great effect as insurgent
3.maps where insurgents are needed fail for insurgents

we need a clearly defined simpler rule structure so that maps are less of an issue

How about the option of neither or I prefer both?
Without looking at the results this will be overwhelmingly Blufor, or non-insurgent/taliban.
The later have more balls than most players imo.

Team switching annoys the hell out of me.

I like both, switching between 2 very different playstyles is what keeps it interesting. its why I like insurgency and this mod. AAS is ***.

The only thing I would like is a a statistic to show how many people you wounded before being revived. often as insurgency you can wipe an enemy squad but they get revived and you get 0 kills. so I mean show # wounded and # killed.

I know the game is about objective, not kill score. but its more about the game acknowledging your skills, making you feel appreciated or something like that . I bet alot of people prefer blufour because they are garentee'd to get a better kdr, even tho its not recorded and doesn't pragmatically speaking, matter.

I play both side, depending which one is my clan or my friends playing, but I prefer Bluefor because I don't know how to play being insurgent or my teammates, from other squads (if I am insurgent), don't know how to play as a team, so now I play as bluefor if it is possible

I play whatever team I am put on, unless my friends are on the other team. Some days I feel like blowing people up with IED's, so at that time I prefer Insurgency. Other times I just want to play in a heavy asset, so I prefer Bluefor.

I prefer Blufor when I start at the beginning but Talibans when I log in the middle/end of the game or when I just wanna have fun without having to follow orders or to care about what everyone else is doing etc..

Because we all know squads are rarely organized when you're on the insurgent side.

With the removal of the good old huge standard IEDs I must say blufor now. The IEDs now are just too weak for my taste

Insurgents are my favorite team. It's less stressing cuz you can die all you want and there isn't a necessity for a squad if I can't find one. I also prefer Eastern Bloc weapons (I rarely pick up the M16) particularly the AK47. The best part of insurgency is playing mind games with the BlueFor, for example once the enemy actually called in mortars and called in IFV support just to kill me (was alone at the time in a building and wasted a squad and a half by myself).

I like Insurgency the most because you feel like you are a guerilla fighter, and your death doesn't affect the tickets.

You are the team that strikes the fear into the other team's heart with well planned ambushes, distractions, planned tactics and team-work (With PR Mumble) and the faction reminds you of the cliche Military Action Movies where the villian is always a stereotypical arab who wants America to burn when really, you play as a faction that are freedom fighters against an unjust invasion that labels its defenders as 'Terrorists' (Except Taliban, they deserve to be shot and groups where they do not respect people's wishes or are self-interests)

It gives an immersion, and I love people who say 'Allah Wa Aghbar' because it's funny and partly serious. More adrenaline with Insurgents than Blueforce, and sense of 'Freedom' from knowing the truth about these things and having consciousness and finding out everything for yourself.

Well, if you go play on the INS team just to screw around, you are the very problem of unorganized team.

I'm one of the few who enjoyed setting up ied's and mines and would wait for a convoy to pass, even if it meant I'd be there in one place for what seemed like an eternity. Insurgency is a waiting game, if you rush constantly your side will lose. - my honest opinion.

However it has been some time since I got the chance to play PR, but I always enjoyed being an insurgent on the non taliban maps, with the exception of Gaza, Asad Khal, and Archer.

Don't like playing talibs or insurgence because everyone stops teamplaying when they are insurgents. They only play in a squad and with teamwork when they are Blufor. This is totally wrong in my opinion.
