Seeing as there are burning trash piles in Ramal, and that we've already had molotov cocktails (currently disused) would it be possible to deploy burning-tire roadblocks? I don't personally believe that a hideout should be necessary.

I think the insurgents should be able to build more of this stuff to be honest, to mix the maps up a bit. Possibly.

Re: Insurgent milita deployable: Burning tires
i'm all for letting insurgent type factions be able to build more stuff, but the problem with "razorwire" type things is that insurgents could exploit it too much and block cache locations with several "layers" of razorwires (or whatever their equivalent would be, ex. burning tires. In a similar way like blocking the entrance into a bunker on kashan by placing 2 razorwires on the roof of the bunker.
and it would look silly if you put burning tires inside a building such as a hangar or those big warehouses like in Karbala (SW side of map). the smoke from the tires would go right through the buildings roof which would be unrealistic.
not trying to say the suggestion is bad, just trying to think of possible problems it could cause.
EDIT: on a side note i think insurgents could use some foxholes (like the ones for mortar pits but w/ more tires/concrete blocks/other cover) but limit the maximum amount of foxholes to 2 per hideout.

Yes there already is a problem with insurgents building mortar pits on cave cache locations to block cave entrances. If there is insurgent or insurgents behind it with a shovel repairing the built asset. Its near impossible for BLUFOR to do anything about it. Even if they get it completly destroyed, they've used all their thermites.Brooklyn-Tech wrote:i'm all for letting insurgent type factions be able to build more stuff, but the problem with "razorwire" type things is that insurgents could exploit it too much and block cache locations with several "layers" of razorwires (or whatever their equivalent would be, ex. burning tires.

Well there is a difference betweent the Taliban and the Iraqi insurgents. The Taliban maps have a lot of caves , however I think we are talking about Iraqi insurgents. Look what the BLUFOR has for cool stuff to "block" their FOBs. I think any insurgent knows how to put a tire on fire etc.007.SirBond wrote:Yes there already is a problem with insurgents building mortar pits on cave cache locations to block cave entrances. And not to forget it can stop a lot of C4 rushers.
We are staying up!

Some kind of foxhole/roadblock hybrid needs to b eimplemented for INS factions, A line of rubble and trash, that provides enough cover fro people to shoot from, like foxholes.

Perhaps leaving insurgent car wrecks on the map longer, so they would have to sacrafice a transportation asset and use it for a blockade without the obvious HIDEOUT AROUND like the Razorwire and emplacements show.
ohh, and to bring up prior suggestions: let the wrecks catch fire and stay on fire for a period of time.

Best line yet...

Dear dudes and dudettes,
This suggestion of Insurgent barricades has been suggested several times before in the past and there is little point to simply reiterate the debate again. As is normal practice on this forums for a re-suggestion, this thread is now closed.
Please search before making suggestions to see if someone beat you to it.
