Hi guys,
Been getting a problem recently, I believe it's only been present since I updated to 0.981.
The game runs on core 6 (0-7), always maxing out that core as it's supposed to. Occasionally I get a drop in CPU load, sometimes 10%, sometimes 50%. This happens every 30 seconds to a minute, and causes the whole game to halt, then continue. It's not a network lag issue.
It's making the game occasionally unplayable - flying helis is out of the question when you don't know if it'll freeze up in a dive or not.
It's running on a MacBook Pro 2.2Ghz i7 with an AMD 6750M. I don't ever recall this happening previously.
Graphics drivers are as up-to-date as they can be whilst still working with my machine. Just done a clean Windows reinstall to try to fix this. It's the only thing installed on here, no luck. Closing Mumble doesn't help.

You need to change your power settings in windows, if I had to guess.
under Windows XP using SpeedswitchXP this is easy.
NOt sure if it works in Vista/7/8 though.
Alternately, you might need to change something in the BIOS, but I have no idea what the MacBook Pro BIOS looks like for SpeedStep (i7 feature for power savings) settings for booting into Boot Camp windows, or if it even exists.

Just a guess, but you should also try either manually or automated shutting down of background processes.

Another guess is you have a firewall or antivirus that is messing stuff up.Might also want to try running
single player local
then
turn off antivirus and single player local.
then
turn off antivirus and online multi player.
