Saving Ryan's Privates

Post by xambone »

Anyone else find themselves getting into character while playing Vietnam/Ww2 Mod?

I love nothing more than running around yelling over local to players to "GET OFF THE BEACH" as US on Overlord. During Vietnam as a VC i end up yelling or typing "Your planes fall from sky like bird with broken wing, GI".
I think that Saint. Lo and Brecourt make me feel like im in the middle of a Band of Brothers episode. I actually had a medic tell me to stfu or bleed out on Operation Overlord.

On PRV barracuda we were in position with 16 Us soldiers lined up south of the "fortification" area as the next flag to take and I called in an area attack and I felt like William Wallace running back and forth yelling, " GET READY BOYS !!!"

Anyone else out there find themselves joyfully lost in character?

I felt like apocalypse now during operation rusty bayonet(128players) where we had about 6 choppers flying in formation.

Not only Shaving Ryan's Privates, but also The Queer Hunter and Whore on the 4th of July, Schindler's Fist, Band of Brothels, Black **** Down and many others.

I think I'm on the wrong section.

Oh my God...

But regarding the actual question: Sort of.

I feel like getting completely in character would mean you're screaming and yelling when your in combat, and frankly I don't want to be annoying to the others in my squad, let alone my house. But I do sort of get immersed and freak out when somebody dies.
