Think the Eye piece at the end needs to be shorter and little wider.

Ye but this scope when fieled has a bit like some padding or something attached to the eye piece that extends it:'[R-DEV wrote:Spush;1854004']I'm thinking the rear needs to be a little shorter.

looks pretty good so far, but if you look at this ref: http://i.imgur.com/27oqS.jpg
You can see that box bit on the sight adjuster isn't the way you've made it here: http://i.imgur.com/qdeUh.png
It's connected to the base and doesn't actually touch the cylinder bit at all only is very close to it. Should be more like this, also possibly the cylinder is a bit tall right now since this box bit meets the top of it, where doing that on this model it looks out of proportion:

Also you need to model that top bit on it too
The welding of it to the scope looks good thou
Also going by this pic here, and the ref I posted above, it looks like your mounting feet are very, very small? http://i.imgur.com/DM5Cd.png
Should look into making them a realistic size as they just look odd right now. Although I take it you've done this so they are the same width as the mount, what would probably be better is to make them wider than the mount, then to clip them into the mount
Also for the mount make its shape more like _\___/_ (isn't upside down) as if its a sliding mount it needs something to slide and hold onto otherwise it will just fall off with ease with the _/___\_ way you've got it now.

lol ye can just see it on your last pic in fact
Also would undo that change you did to the end bit too since it was the wrong end from what spush was talking about etc

Ignore what Spush said, you got confused about what he was on about and what he was on about isn't a factor since he wasn't aware of the bit that goes on the eye bit.

Looks good, but be sure to weld up your ngons on the cylinder faces.

The edge near the screw that has all the edges going to it, does not need to be there. Instead connect the edges to the corners of the square. Really minimal stuff really.

This is what I meant for the nob base on the sight adjuster if you didn't understand, note its welded to the base and there is a small gap between the central cylinder bit otherwise the bits wouldn't be able to be adjusted if it was welded on. Also the nob needs to be much higher as per the ref.

As for your mount, this is more what your looking for:

You want hard edges, and the mount bits need to fit around the mount, not on top of it like so:

Other than that looking good so far, other than the optimization etc

I'm sorry but even I can't understand what you mean there md[R-DEV]motherdear wrote:http://i.imgur.com/kmQVj.png

I'm not 100% sure what he meant either by that but giving ngons tris doesn't ruin the shape, it defines the shape you want from it, and something you should be doing on parts which could have multiple shapes with different tri setups. This tut better explains it: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f189-m ... heavy.htmlKaland wrote:What i had more trouble understanding was that he said to weld together the ngons? Do you mean to give them designated tris, beacuse if i understand correctly that would totally ruin the shape![]()

Could you post a close-up of the scope adjusting thingy? and a render from the same position if possible, too
Kinda hard to see anything in that area from above picture really.
