Hey, so I searched each of these terms and didn't come up with anything.
Why is it that once you fire AT and AA weapons, and all of the ammo has been expended, you instantly drop the empty weapon? Like, so quickly that it looks ridiculous.
I figure it's because most of them are disposable, like the AT4. The thing is that it looks really goofy when you launch a rocket, and all within a fraction of a second, you twitch, and the rocket instantly drops out of your hands.
So is there no other way to simulate disposable weapons in BF2?
Like maybe waiting until the player switches weapons on their own, and then dropping the tube, and preventing them from using the weapon again until they've been resupplied.
I have a feeling that it's just the way it had to be done, but it'd be great to know for sure.
Any thoughts?

Unless the weapon is reloadable (ie. more than one round available), the animation that SHOULD play when you dispose of the tube does not work due to the engine.

Or unless you keep on holding down the fire button until waaay after you fire and then it plays though the dropping animation (which it dose already ingame iirc)
