[HELP]Can't paint terrain in Grid with Texture mode
I can only paint my terrain while in Detail texture mode, when i switch to Grid with texture mode I can only see some of the terrain paint which i did earlier, all the new paint i try to add to the ground won't show, only when I switch to Detailed mode, I tried seting low detail type and generating but it doesn't help.. Does somebody know if Im using the editor in the wrong way or if there is a solution?

You can only paint in detail texture mod and only the textures that you applied in your last save show up, so if you want to see it in grid save.Mrslobodan wrote:I can only paint my terrain while in Detail texture mode, when i switch to Grid with texture mode I can only see some of the terrain paint which i did earlier, all the new paint i try to add to the ground won't show, only when I switch to Detailed mode, I tried seting low detail type and generating but it doesn't help.. Make sure you set the low detail texture number in the tweak bar for each layer, then hit select lowndetail type. Pick what type you want, hit ok. The click generate low detail maps

1 ground, 2 rock, 0 is said to be sand etc but I think it looks **** and don't know anyone who uses it.
FH2 mapping tutorials - Texture system in bf2/bf2editor
Be sure to read through this. It's recommended you use non vanilla low detail maps, so best bet is to pull it from a level. Go into a PR level, unpack it. Copy the "lowdetailtexture".dds file to your desktop and rename it something like "lowdetailtexture1".
Then go to your "Battlefield 2" folder>bf2 editor>RawData>common>terrain>LowDetail and place it in that folder.
Now load up your editor, and as soon as you set your low detail numbers go to select low detail type, there you can select that new low detail texture, generate it, save and quite, reload and wham, nice low detail textures.
