I wouldn't know because I haven't served in combat in Iraq/Afghanistan but the locations of these caches are not hidden very well e.g roof tops, balcony's. Makes you think the insurgents and taliban are dumber than a sack of hammers[R-DEV]AFsoccer wrote:As we were updating maps, I took a look at this... and honestly I'm not sure there's much we can do. The reason is that the good places are all being used, and if you play a map enough times you're going to know where those places are. I thought about moving some or adding some, but then they would either be exposed or would have some other drawback. The best solution is new maps... and we're working on that.![]()

Are you talking about r/l or our caches ingame? Sorry isn't clear.DDS wrote:I wouldn't know because I haven't served in combat in Iraq/Afghanistan but the locations of these caches are not hidden very well e.g roof tops, balcony's. In r/l they normally hide their caches pretty well, normally dug underground, under dried poppie stacks etc. Problem is we can't really do this ingame for various reasons I hope I don't need to go into.
We are also currently very limited to where we can place the caches due to many of the buildings being destructible, which if the building is destroyed on top of the cache, would bury it, making it invisible and hard to destroy.
I am personally looking into improving this situation but there is only so much we can do when the cache is such a big object, players need to spawn off it and drop kits (at least currently) spawn off it too.

Re: Ask the [Dev]s a (?)
There is a cache spawn in Lashkar Valley in a small village of 3 houses in a hill close to the German main, if you destroy the house then you can't see the cache anymore, best tactic to hide it ever, gonna report it.

My Prediction:
Next Devcast will be at the 16th of February, Saturday, uploaded at 7:00 PM.
Since I have to ask a question, Meat Pie, Asian or Pizza?
Pick one of the 3 unhealthy options
Why 7 Caches in-game? Does that reflect IRL?

this number has been different in many releases, it's simply what the devs felt was the best fit, I think. I dont think any mathematical model was used to get it, or any military data, just playtesting. Dont be surprised if it changes next release.Arab wrote: Why 7 Caches in-game? Does that reflect IRL?

You knew he was kidding right?ah64d_apache_longbow wrote:How can you watch such a movie and then make such a stupid conclusion out of it. There was clearly an aircraft that flew over the tank after Captain John H. Miller fired one of his last shots.
From Saving Private Ryan wiki:
At the end of the movie, at the battle of Ramelle, American pilots in P-51Ds supported the soldiers there by bombing the north half of the town, killing infantry soldiers and destroying the Tiger Tank, causing the Americans to win and the Germans to retreat.

Your smart combination of pictures and text will get this thread closed. I said I didn't figure it out, so is that the only thing in your life you have to worry about at the moment? I can't be 24/7 on internet like some people so I can't figure out momentarely what someone wanted to say.Phoenixo_Idaho wrote:

You need to take a breath and relax man, people give each other shit, if you get angry over it, it only gets worse.ah64d_apache_longbow wrote:Your smart combination of pictures and text will get this thread closed. Speaking of relaxing what are your (the devs) outlets?

Apache is right, you guys have dragged that discussion along several pages. Don't mention that anymore, please, or there'll be infractions.

I cant speak for other Devs, but when I get the time to spend on this it is a outlet for me.gx wrote:Speaking of relaxing what are your (the devs) outlets?
Other than that, getting any free time to work on anything game-art related is a real joy for me and I get a real buzz of it once I get going. Anyone who takes a real interest in game-art knows what I am talking about.

Will we see the addition of the m240L? Or did I see it was the M240B?

Bijar Canyons is simply an upgraded version of Iron Eagle. We didn't change the factions, but we did re-name it because we had too many Iron and Eagle names.ShockUnitBlack wrote:What factions are featured on Bijar Canyons?
