Punkbuster losing key packets

Alright so as most of you are aware there's this incredibly stupid bug that you get kicked after a few hours of playing by Punkbuster for supposedly losing keypackets. I am being told by several people it's because of a Windows update but I am sure that this can be prevented somehow. Isn't there anything I can disable or delete to prevent myself from being kicked every 4 hours by Punkbuster? Because this is just plain annoying.

everyone has the same issue. And we all have no solution as the problem lies with punkbuster.

How come there's nobody talking about it on the forums then? I can't seem to find anything specific regarding this problem.

Oh, because it's been a known problem that everyone has been struggling with already and that is directly caused by punkbuster so you can't do anything to fix it yourself. All we can do is hope that PB finally decide to fix their own fucking home-made problems.

But not everyone seems to have issues with it... A friend of mine plays flawlessy without ever getting kicked by punkbuster

it happens with the latest punkbuster versions. It's random and not specific. Some people get lucky and don't get kicked because they are either lucky or don't have an updated punkbuster. In any chance, if you have it , there is nothing anyone can do. You got to live with it. And there are threads about it, you just didn't look far enough

I occasionally get kicked for 'connection to server lost', but never for losing packets, I am updated (manally) to the latest punkbuster version.


I put in a support ticket a while back. (Not for this issue, a different punkbuster related problem) After a few months I tried to get an update and was left with a message there is no update, and they locked the support ticket. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for punkbuster to do anything..
