Hi everyone!
I decided to redownload PR, after 2 years of not playing it. I got a new laptop in that time.
When I join servers, I am kicked usually instantly or within 15~ seconds with the error
"Kicked: Multiple Direct3D Loaded-A"
From what I can tell its because I have 2 GPUs in my laptop, the integrated Intel HD 3000 one and the nVidia GeForce GT 630M.
Other specs are
2TB HDD
8GB RAM
Intel Core i7 2670QM @ 2.2GHz
Windows 8 64 Bit
What I've tried:
Disabling the Intel card from Device Manager, this causes PR not to start at all
Setting bf2.exe to run off the nvidia card through nvidia control panel
Right clicking pr.exe -> run with nvidia card option
I can't think of anything else to do.
As far as I know I don't have optimus either which is what alot of people in my situation had
I am willing to allow people to use teamviewer on my laptop to see if they can fix it themselves, I'm open to download/try anything!
Regards,
Panzar

Multiple Direct 3D Loaded-A - Kick from Servers
ASSETS: Updated new razorwire to spawn as wreck. Fixed some dummy objects. (dbzao)

Hiya, welcome back,
Try updating your Nvidia GPU drivers.
Seriously, Nvidia and Evenbalance, the company that makes punkbuster, decided to go to war over OPtimus laptops last year, and only newer (after November 2011 I think) drivers will fix this.

It appears this issue has been resolved for users who were getting kicked off the Punkbuster server on certain Optimus notebooks. The fix does not require an NVIDIA driver update for your notebook as the changes are on Even Balances side. Please try reinstalling the latest Punkbuster engine from Evenbalances website:
PunkBuster Online Countermeasures
We tested Punkbuster version 3.4 and verified it was no longer producing an error. Please update to this version if you have not yet done so.
If you are still getting kicked out of online multiplayer games after updating your Punkbuster engine, please provide us with the following so we may look into it with Even Balance:
1) Game title you were kicked out of
2) Error message/code
3) Server IPort if possible
4) Laptop make and model
5) GPU model
6) Display driver version installed
7) Did you update Punkbuster engine to the latest version:
PunkBuster Online Countermeasures
Date you were kicked off the Punkbuster server

Also, make sure your power plan is set to "Gaming Mode" or "Full Power" or whatever for your laptop model has the full power discrete GPU power plan option called, to make sure your power configurator isn't adjusting which GPU is being used.

What exactly is your laptop maker and model number?
You can boot into your BIOS, see if you have option to disable the integrated GPU (or disable Optimus) and set the Discrete GPU to be used at all times.
If no luck,
You can update your BIOS, to see if newer BIOS enabled the option.
If no luck
depending on your notebook model, Optimus CAN be disabled in the BIOS, only problem is you need to UNLOCK the default BIOS. Myself and the REALITYMOD.COM team can not and will not be held responsible if anythig goes wrong.
If no luck,
You can connect an external monitor/TV to your notebook over HDMI/DVI, and I'm 100% certain that BF2 and PR and all DirectX games will work on the external monitor.

Right clicking on the Desktop and selecting NVIDIA Control Panel
Navigating to the Control Panel and searching for NVIDIA Control Panel
If you don't have it installed, make sure you have the latest NVIDIA drivers.
Under the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to 3D Settings -> Manage 3D Settings. Select the Global Settings tab and use the Preferred graphics processor drop-down to select High-performance NVIDIA processor. Then hit the Apply button. You may need to restart your computer.

Sadly none of the above work.
I don't have an external to plug in either
BIOS Is updated, no option to set it fo fixed GPU usage.
My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv7-7000ee

Re: Multiple Direct 3D Loaded-A - Kick from Servers
I looked on Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source and I found this:
the dv7-7000 series uses same base BIOS as HP Pavilion DV6-60xx / 61xx Series,
and
AFAIK, No one has been able to unlock the dv7-70xx BIOS.
I do not know what to tell you, sorry..

OK< so you can possibly flash the ROM chip on your notebook, but you'd have to pay some one to do that, if you can find someone. It requires desoldering the ROM, owning the ROM flasher, using a few software tools to alter the BIOS, and resoldering the ROM. BIOS must be older than the F-12 revision to work.
Sorry, but I can't do anything else ,
up to punkbuster to fix their ridiculous program.
