So the problem I had was the Mumble that comes in the 3 install packages is only 0.5 not 1.0 so installed the newest one and it looks all good now.

Yo, welcome to PR As everyone already said, we've got a pretty good player base in my opinion and most people will always be willing to help you if you have any question, just tell them you're new here. Don't hesitate, we were all beginners at some point anyway

Get mumble up and running , join a squad and tell the SL that you are new and therefore you want stick with rifleman kit. Everything should by fine then , and don't spawn on the purple caches also called "unknowns". And the most important thing: listen to everyone it doesn't matter how old they are and how they sound like.

Like most have said play inf, ask questions and let people know you are new. After a while you might find a certain group of players, or just one that you can become friends with and they can give you more in depth help that you can't really get in the middle of a public game.

Haha sounds a great laugh, and ye thats what i'll do, however, I can't understand the mumble shortcuts. I have the local chat which is H so I know that people on the server were saying Num pad 0. This isn't listed on mine. I'll try it out tonight as there are a few other keys to press. I would rather not though incase I contact the Commander or another squad =S

Here is link to Mumble FAQ. As Squad Member you can only use local(default H) and squad radio(default num 0). Other keys are reserved for Squad Leaders and Commander.

Cheers Mos, my keys were not the default ones so I'll see how that goes. And i'll add that channel to my TS3 aswell
