stuck on main screen

hi i have windows 8,i got the game to load but now i just stuck on looking at the mosque loading in screen say playing on muttrah with no option of chosing squad, but i can here the sound options when i move mouse about but the squads seem invisable if u understand.
when on the screen i can see the game going on say for example a btr of heli flys to mosque i can see this on my screen but thats it.its like i just watching a tv of the mosque...any help please.

I honestly have never heard of this before.

I'm not being a smart-arse,
but have you tried pressing the Left Caps Lock key or the Enter/Return key to bring up the squad selection menu?

I have your solution. Do not, under any circumstances, minimize the game. Ever. If you do, your whole HUD will die and you'll have to close and restart the game to get it working again. That's it - had the same problem myself.
