Audio for French Forces
Will the French Forces speak in French ? Like for the reloading speeches, calling trans/crates etc ? If you lack some diversity in the voices, I can volunteer because French is my native language.

Re: Audio for French Forces
Oh yeah, I've forgot that BF2 came with French voices lol... They look so retarded that I've always been playing with the local ones
(Arab for MEC, Chinese for PLA, etc...) and with English UI ^^
Edit : But BF2 don't have voices for the crate calling and all the custom speeches of PR ._.

PR doesn't have custom speeches? Though we're using unused vBF2 voices, perhaps that's what you mean. The French should have those as well though.

PR don't have custom speeches ?
Well... I've heard the "We're getting wasted ! Fall back !" speech in PR, but not in vBF2. Same for "Affirmative a vehicle is on the way !" etc...
If those were just unused vBF2 files, then it's normal I've never heard them

That's all included in vBF2. There are even more voices in there. Including the spotting of an enemy wheelbarrowzombie-yellow wrote:PR don't have custom speeches ?

That played when you spotted a car sometimes, and after that you would hear laughing.[R-DEV]AfterDune wrote:That's all included in vBF2. There are even more voices in there. Including the spotting of an enemy wheelbarrow.

New French voices would have been good, but only real French voices, not French Canadian ones.zombie-yellow wrote:Will the French Forces speak in French ? I must admit I like your accent but it doesn't suit very well a French soldier.

Indeed smiddey pretty much, but the difference is a bit more emphasized. Accents are completely different and french canadian uses a lot of different words with a wrong french grammar hahhaha

Well, I can easily forge a British or American accent, I thought it is like BR Portuguese and PT Portuguese.
I think Zombie can easily forge the French accent.

Re: Audio for French Forces
While I was born in Montreal, my two parents are French (dad from Paris and mom from Niort) and I can speak with the two accents
Pwn'd ^^
Edit : Also, don't worry, I don't speak like everyone in Quebec, and I'm a grammar-god compared to what I've heard deep outside Montreal
I won't start a debate about Quebec's school system, but trust me, it's horriying how I'm more educated than some teachers at some schools in the province. (By the way, I went to a French school : Stanislas, and the French school system is way better than Quebec's. I can compare, I've been in the two
)

Re: Audio for French Forces
They're in the "Common_client.zip" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2"
You'll need a program to extract and read them, follow this tutorial here : Guide to Extracting Sounds from BF2 - BF3S Forums
Have good laugh !
Edit: you just need WinRAR or 7zip (or anything else that can extract files) and a player who reads .ogg
