Mumble creates background noise with USB headset

When I open mumble my USB headset(Corsair Vengeance 1500) starts producing quiet white noise type of sound. This goes away when I close mumble.

This white noise stays the same regardless of the volume setting. Interestingly this sound goes away when I disable my mic in the windows controll panel or change the input source to something other than the mic in mumble settings.

Same thing seems to happen with teamspeak 3.

Confirmed its a known driver/hardware issue.
