Origin// PR download problem

I have recently aquired BF2 form origins sale and am a huge fan of PR and thought i might take advantage of the sale./// SITUATION- I have downloaded BF2 and PR mod .97 patch and full and both times i tried to run it, once i selected my BF2 game in my documents (already selected) it says no games were found compatible. I dont know what to do can some one please help

I also got BF2 from Origin, my BF2 is in C:\Program(x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield Complete Collection folder, check if you got the right folder selected, btw I got Win7 don't know what you got so it may be a bit diffrent thou.

I also have window 7. when it says select bf2 in your documents, it is already selected and i can find it anywhere else

Welcome to the PR community,

Steps:
Install Origin version of vanilla BF2.
Start vanilla BF2.
Create online profile.
Write down your password somewhere.
Join an online server.
Adjust your audio and video settings for convenience now.

Shutdown vanilla BF2.
All of the steps above are required.

And as Mrslobodan said, when installing PR 0973, you might have to point it to

on 64 bit system:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield Complete Collection

or
on 32 bit system:
C:\Program Files\Origin Games\Battlefield Complete Collection

Also, please note that PR is now running 0.981, you need to also download that patch and install it after installing part 1 through 3 of the 0.973 full patch.

The Battlefield 2 folder in my documents is just your profile and screenshot files,
you have to point the installer to the locations above.

You can find the exact loaction of your BF2 installation inside the Origin program.
Start Origin, in Main Menu, top left, Select Origin->Application Settings

You will see:
Downloaded Games
Your games will be installed to the following locations:


In that grayed out box is where you need to look,

the default location on Win7 64 bit is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2 Complete Collection

ok. thanks to your help i have successfully downloaded PR. but i have come across another problem. when trying to join a PR server it blacked out and brought me to PR intoduction page (had a video in the background of PR) and it said " you must use 'pr.exe' to run project reality. please update your shourtcuts as required.
Example:
C:\program files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"
and i am not quite sure how to do that

Should be a new shortcut on your desktop for PR.

You can find pr.exe at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield Complete Collection\mods\pr\pr.exe

or 32 bit Windows:
C:\Program Files\Origin Games\Battlefield Complete Collection\mods\pr\pr.exe

Right click, run as admin.

FYI, You can not start PR inside the vanilla BF2 mods launcher menu.

Quick question: I'm downloading the BF2 complete edition from origin. Is BF2 already updated to v1.5? Also, are the above directions still good for BF2 R 1.0? Thanks in advance.

A: Yes, it is up to date.

A: Pretty much yes, follow the steps in post #4, the new PR Installer should automatically find the BF2 installtion folder.
