he stated in the OP:
rhino wrote:This also included making a 3D, working cockpit since [R-DEV]mosquill had been experimenting with the concept on a small scale using the vBF2 Havok and shown some promising results.
This helicopter series was going to be the main test bed for implementing this idea into PR, but as we found out later during the export process, this concept was a no-go since there was a limit on the amount of moving parts you can have on a vehicle, which was especially a problem for this chopper due to its moving landing gear etc, as well as many other complications so while we don't have a working cockpit, it is still nicely detailed.

Its possible yes but it requires them to be modelled into the cockpit model.

Very slick! Love the detail with the various munitions as well. Crazy to see custom models for missiles that will be visible for only a few seconds, then gone :P (unless perched on the outside of the choppa).

hehe, well they are pretty quick and easy to make and more optimized than our current missiles, + they look cool in screenshots

But you can actually see and notice them ingame if you look hard enough, even when flying though the air at pretty high speeds :)

Well it kinda sucks that in the online once they're fired, they don't come back, even if you rearm they won't be back.

These aren't dummy weapons, like missiles/bombs on the wings of a jet, they are the projectiles that are fired, since the HJ-8 is loaded inside a tube, which stays with the aircraft once fired (although in reality its hollowed out after firing more or less afaik, which it isn't ingame since it would have been too many tris for little gain that no one would have noticed) and the rocket pods are pretty much the same story, just with multiple rockets in them.

These are instead projectiles, which you see when they are fired:

And no, sorry we can't fix the dummy weapons not coming back after reloading problem, BF2 engine bug.

Mother of God only thing worse than 14 90mm rockets would be 8 127mm rockets, well at least in terms of unguided rockets.
