How can I become a DEV and how can I participate in the PR 1.0 Beta?

I was wondering how do you become a DEV for PR and how can you help to develop stuff?
I also want to ask if it's possible at the moment to participate in the Beta of PR 1.0?

I'd like to develop guns which still haven't been implemented into the game for the new PR version.
Sad to say but I dont have any experience :D

the DEVS/RCONS are the ones that make this game, and before you join them you need to show that you have something to offer them, whether it's in things you already made or skills that you can use to make things in the future. So the best thing is to start modding PR or bf2 yourself a bit, and see what you can do. And to show those things. If the DEV team then one day sees that you have what they need in their team and that you are a person who would fit in as a team member then who knows . But my best suggestions is to try a bit of modding yourself and become active in these forums a bit more.

Mineral,can you post some stuff what you already got for Syria?
It would be awsome if there was militia factions fighting like for example:
FSA vs Assads Shabiha militia
Or I've heard in the news that some FSA groups are planning to fight the Lebanese army after the war is over,so you can look onto that :)

Offtopic but since we are already discussing this: Is the coding in PR:bf2 done by only python or also C++?

All gamelogic related coding is done with python.
That includes gamemodes, squad restrictions, rallypoints, logistic system and some more.
The engine itself has been written in C++ but can not be accessed and modified by any modders.

The main menu is done with flash and the vehicles, weapons, objects are coded with a special bf2 scripting language.

Some other features like weapon selection, compass and BUIS are also implemented with a combination of bf2 scripting and dirty hacks.

Becoming a dev is easy. Make something awesome like weapons, vehicles, any coding task etc and send it to us for a review :D . Everyone started somewhere.
You can always apply for a spot in the testing team, but keep in mind that we're not actively looking for new testers at the moment.

It does, R-CON is basically a probationary position, when you prove that you can contribute to the mod and to the team, you'll most likely get promoted to DEV status.
