Hello there, firstly, 'm sorry if this is not in the right section/has already been asked.
I am just back playing after my harddrive died and i had to reinstall BF2 and Pr.. My problem is the well known MD5 tool mismatch however i have a version which says 'clientarchives' (error number 306 i believe). i have tried replacing the file with a CIA clanmates file, installing soundmod (as apparently this creates a new clientarchives file) etc. This error kicks me from the game from anywhere between 30 seconds to an hour of gametime and it is really irritating.
Now, i have seen a few posts on how to resolve this but me being technologically retarded i could not make much sense of these. could someone advise me how to rectify this annoying problem in as easy a way as possible? Thanks you.

PS - thanks for all your hardwork, DEV's. PR is brilliant and as this is my first post on the forums i felt kind of indebted to you all. Cheers.

Check the support forums. There are a number of things you can do. manually uninstall/reinstall punkbuster with pbsvc.exe and with the pbsetup.exe remove and add BF2.RAF1996 wrote:Hello there, firstly, 'm sorry if this is not in the right section/has already been asked.

Best way is reinstall the entire BF2, PR and Punkbuster.
Then install'em one by one.(Premise:U dont know the reason)
It works for me all the time.
PS: Really annoying u disconnected as a Gunner.
