Haha! What about this: "you where kicked to make room for a supporting member" made me stop playing there.

I remember that but couldn't remember the server.

I have limited time to play this game; I come home from work at around 4AM, then my wife and my kids get up around 6AM. This gives me around 2 hours of 'me time', and if I was faced with the above message after queuing to get into the server in the first place, I'd be beyond pissed off.

For that reason, if such a procedure is in place, I won't be joining.

There's usually plenty of instances of AFKers to kick, that I ain't got a problem with. But to kick someone active is a liberty, IMO.

Getting closer to April fools makes me wonder what is up their collective sleeves? What better way to get thousands of players wondering with interest. Last one hooked me line n' sinker (Grrrr).

Supporting member membership appeals to me a lot because I can join quickly whenever I want. It's saying 'I support' what they are trying to do. It's not for everybody but it is what it is. I think getting kicked once in the middle of a game convinced me to pay for SM. I just became SM again solely to show support.

As a good socialist I see that as a privilege through wealth. Those that can't afford don't get.

Mumble has been around since 2008/2009, first used on the iGi server (another one that I miss, my first home). but it wasn't PR mumble just the standard open source program. And it was a ***** to set up properly with many issues for those that didn't have it just right. Which is the main reason back in the day people were highly reluctant of using it. Then the first PR mumble beta came along and standardised the settings, making it much more accessable before we got v1.0 beta to remove some more bugs and add new features.
