I truthfully haven't played too often lately so maybe i've just missed them. But I recall seeing them semi-regularly a few months back. Have the dev's decided to limit them to focus on 1.0? Just wondering, I always enjoyed those large scale battles more.

Correct. 64+ players has finished it's testing phase and will be part of v1.0.
