Re: Project Reality 1.0 to Release 1 April 2013
Given the immense size of the download (it's only going to get bigger with new maps and content), the torrent will need time to seed. It's possible the torrent will go up on the 1st, but it's unlikely the release will be on the 1st.
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

I predict the 1st will yield some sort of genuine update. Probably news or a devcast. I predict... the official announcement of the Mi-24, which has been hinted upon for a while now.

I thought they said there was going to be a third devcast? Though really I think its gonna be like an April Fool's Devcast, then the real devcast will release the next day. OR, its an April Fool's Devcast, and THEN BF2: PR v1.0 release the next day.

Perhaps the world is not made, perhaps nothing is made, a watch, without a watchmaker.

They won't release 1.0 since they just keep finding more bugs.

I'm no betting man but I reckon we'll get 1.0 in early August.

You are wrong, number of bugs start decreasing some time ago.gipakok wrote:They won't release 1.0 since they just keep finding more bugs.

How many times has this honestly happened?
"...We'll get 1.0 in August ('12)..."
"..."We'll get 1.0 on Christmas..."
"...It'll be before the end of January..."
"...April 1st, that has to be it..."
"...August 2013 definitely..."
It's coming (eventually) but it's starting to sound like people predicting the end of the world.

Mi-24? That is my dream, to see it in PR. That is my favorite helicopter - the only reasonable to be in game to be honest. According to Wikipedia Mi-28 Havoc has no operational history whatsoever, or has just a tiny bit compared to mighty Mi-24 Hind. Just imagine it flying over Vadso city or Burning sands. Oh dear...ShockUnitBlack wrote:I predict the 1st will yield some sort of genuine update. Probably news or a devcast. Anyway, not to get too far away from topic, I hope we will get a nice, realistic and bug-free release, whenever it is.
Though it kinda wonders me why no Devs have replied something on this topic...
Hmm...

Because they honestly don't know. PR is huge, and they bugtest as much as they possibly can before release. Even then stuff sometimes slips through the net (remember the RPG artillery we used to have?) so they're very careful. With this in mind, any dates they set are kept secret so that we as the community don't lynch then when something sets them backspirit03 wrote:Though it kinda wonders me why no Devs have replied something on this topic...

I think that they just recording ideas

assetruler69: I've seen things you smurfs wouldn't believe. Apaches on the Kashan. I watched burned down tank hulls after the launch of the single TOW. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to give up and respawn.

IMO it's been left too long and now missed a trick. As I've previously said, the wait now means it will be competing with ArmA3 and DayZ stand alone, for players.
That said, I guess if something ain't ready, it ready.
Personally, now I've got a good spec PC, I can't wait for PR to do a ArmA3 version of PR.
