I've searched the forums and couldn't find this suggested anywhere.
The Medic's ability to directly heal a player should be disabled, instead he should only be able to apply bandages to a player.
Once bandaged the player heals back to 100% health gradually, without the need of a Medic. Bandaging would work the same way as auto heal works now, i.e. the medic has the medical kit in his hand while next to the wounded player. If the player is hurt and not bandaged, he loses health, simulating an untreated open wound. The more he is hurt the more health he loses through bleeding.
For example:
A bar representing a Player at 100% health:
██████████
The Player is shot and loses 50% health (red representing an open wound):
██████████
The Player has an open wound and bleeds:
██████████
A Medic fully bandages the player (orange representing the bandages):
██████████
Medic leaves. The Player's health restores to full over time:
██████████
██████████
██████████
██████████
██████████
The Player is back to full health:
██████████
In addition if the player is shot whilst bandaged, it will deduct from his actual health and would need bandaging again:
██████████
This seems a good way to simulate a real life injury without being too complex in nature.

that would be really cool, you really have to get help when youre shot when those changes are made, which is realistic ofcourse
slightly offtopic but personally i love the animations of shot down germans of COD2 who drag themselves out of open area to cover or grap their pistol to shoot at you before the eventually die. But thats impossible within engine limmits

In Operation Flashpoint (an xbox game and totaly unrelated to prmm) if you were shot you limped and jumping hurt you even more until you were treated. If you were hurt badly enough you went crouched and standing up hurt you. After you were really low on health you had to stay prone. I dont particulally like this but it makes the game have a certain realism that helps gameplay. I think this concept should be added in some certain degree. It promotes teamwork so people wouldnt just run out.
