Nickname crash.

Post by Kovanaama »

Ok. I have serious problem with this one. My nickname is Kovanaama(FIN) and now it has somekind of wierd problem. Everytime i login with this nick it loads the map and then crashes. No error screen nothing... i tried even uninstall but it still crashes.

SO, i made a new nickname and BOOM! Everything runs smoothly, no jams, no crashes. Now my problem is that i tried to make a new Kovanaama nick but unfortunate cant make it. Only if i make it something like Kovanaama+03249827348612357fuckyou01238761 then it accepts it.

The question is! Is there somekind of database where i can find available nicknames to Kovanaama name? or can you guys delete some old Kovanaama nick (what nobody have used in 4 years) for me?

Thanks!

Heh, this is an interesting one.

Questions:
What OS?
1. DO you have PRMumble running?
2. Does vanilla BF2 work for your Kovanaama(FIN) account?

Go to Documents/Battlefield 2/Profile and delete the folder that is related to your Profile (I guess it's 0001, but check the profile.con within the folder). Boot up the game again and relogin into your account (you have to go and use that "find my account" thingy again).

Need a answer to this one though. Is there somekind of database where i can find available nicknames to Kovanaama name? or can you guys delete some old Kovanaama nick (what nobody have used in 4 years) for me? If not then i will make a new ingame nick and new nickname for realitymod.com. (or someone change this name)

Write down your password for your Kovanaama(FIN) BF2 profile login.

Go to Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\

You should have multiple directories
0001
0002
0003
etc.

Open each directory, and open the Profile.con file in notepad.
The first line should be the username associated with the account for that directory.
Should look like this:
LocalProfile.setName "Kovanaama(FIN)"
Once you find the directory that has Kovanaama(FIN) in it, delete the file Video.con in that directory.

Start vanilla BF2, and log into your Kovanaama(FIN) account.
Join an online server for a moment.
Adjust your video settings.
Shut down BF2.

Start PR.
