Cut respawn time down to 10-15 seconds

Hello everyone,
First of all I think PR is the best mod for bf2 out there! I've really been enjoying my time playing. I also know I'm new here and this has probably been posted before at some point in time.

The 30 second respawn time does make it more realistic as people will play more cautious(like in real life). But it is still a video game and I think you would get (and keep) a lot more people playing and have the servers a little more filled up if the spawn time was say 10 seconds.

The penalty second for each death is a good idea and I think this alone would get peeps to play a little more like they would in real life. I love the gameplay and the sounds blow me away. But after too many respawns (me needs some more practice) I find myself going back to bf2 or POE for a little more fast paced action.

Again sorry if this has beed posted/talked about a million times before.....

I agree - it can be fairly annoying!

But how about being forced to spawn back at a main base instead? So you spawn in 15 seconds but have to spawn at the main base. Though this wouldn't speed up the gameplay.

The other thing , which [R-DEV]Gaz hinted at, is rally points...this could be a good combination.

Spawns are good as they are, your just reinforcing the point. You go back to BF2 for fast paced action. BF2 is BF2 and this is PR, like you said, the longer spawn times create more caution amongst players and if its abolished we are left purely with bunny hopping crazies that couldn't give a **** (i.e. BF2).

The spawn times are the worst part of PR but they are good for getting players to play cautiously. I dont like how players who play cautiously are still pernalized for nubs that dont.

I think the spawn times about be = 15 + deaths * 2seconds instead of = 30 + deaths * 1seconds. This would penalize the rushers and keep the pace upbeat for those who aren't rushing and dieing.

If there's no big penalty for dying, then people will just play this like vBF2. That's not the intention. Compared to vBF2, this will surely have a slower pace to it. The 30 second penalty is there for a reason, and it will remain there as is because of it. That's still better than us making the player only have 1 chance ;)

PRMM has a different goal than vBF2 or PoE and/or any other mod out there. The 1 second penalty for every death is an "insentive" ( lol ) for the player. The player must play smarter than the regular vBF2 player. If you happen to get killed a lot, try using teamplay for once. It's the soul of PRMM.

Think of it this way. Lower respawn times mean lower IQs in the player base :-P
