Add to M113 with crates Mec Forces in Jabal
As today we have the mortar was common for bufor when they play the map Jabal throws them early in the round directly on the bridge that sits between main and Jabal and destroying Mec into 6 parts.
It prevents the output being destroyed truck with crates of Main Mec so they can strengthen your defenses and prepare for attack JABAL - Next to South Bridge or another point qualuqer Map.
The bridge being destroyed, prevents the passage of trucks will comment to put some metal bridge but:
1 If the trucks are in the Jabal can not refuel to continue to put the metal bridges, as said the bridge was destroyed into 6 parts?
2 If you have a truck in the main, until he can rebuild but it will take time,
3 If Fob Mec are located and destroyed or disabled you have to be born in the main or cross the river using the APC to return to the battle zone.
With the loss of the advance team FoB BLUFOR Jabal up is very fast, getting the team MEC restricted to no chance of defending infantry attack.
My suggestion: the replacement of Supply Trucks for M113 with crates so you can even higher balance between matches, even with the bridge destroyed crates can get to the other side of the river

This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning

Sorry mate but that was a pain to read.
Are you suggesting to add the M113 to the disposal of the MEC army on Jabal?

Can the M113 swim? If so, I guess it makes sense (assuming any of the middle-eastern countries use it, which I'm not sure they do)...
But honestly... people so easily forget about CSBs! The other day the militia took out our main bridge on fools road and just left... the sapper went home because he figured he'd done his work. Along pops me with a single CSB deployment and we're back to full asset deployment

Yes it can, and yes, there are many M113s in use by middle eastern countries:[R-CON]Psyrus wrote:Can the M113 swim? If so, I guess it makes sense (assuming any of the middle-eastern countries use it, which I'm not sure they do)...
M113 armored personnel carrier - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Afghanistan: 173; Iran: 200; Iraq: 283, plus a recent order for 440 refurbished M113A2s)
I tried many times to get CSBs going as MEC in Jabal and it takes so many pieces to get a bridge across the river that when (if) I manage to get halfway some HAT in the hills takes out the truck and that's it. It's really not feasible at all.[R-CON]Psyrus wrote:But honestly... people so easily forget about CSBs! No, it could before the A2 version.

Yes, they do. But why bother giving them the M113 when the MEC already has the MTLB, which can do the same thing? Unless the original poster is getting his vehicle designations confused.(assuming any of the middle-eastern countries use it, which I'm not sure they do)...

I think he did, the M113 is generally considered a Blufor vehicle anyway right? and yeah MEC has their own equivalent, with the MTLB. It would be nice if those spit out crates though.

Re: Add to M113 with crates Mec Forces in Jabal
I'm not confusing to suggest the implementation of the M113, took me into consideration the same research done by Stealthgato
[R-DEV] Eddie Baker also understand that should be the MTLB, however take into consideration that you are all very busy with the new version.
Create a new model of APC, testing and releases it takes time, the suggestion is not to give more work for you guys but facilitate everyone.
Proposed the M113 which is already ready and is used by IDF forces in Gaza Beach map or even Beirut. (They are now ready for use)
The suggestion is to remove Supplies Trucks and replaces them with the M113 crates for Mec in Jabal.
As was well put by Stealthgato is impossible to reconstruct the bridge without being destroyed by a HAT or the Attack Huey. Reconstruct it more to the North already tried it are at least 15 CSB is also a time consuming operation and endless
This ends up spoiling the game, leaving little time OPFOR restricted in the defense of a single flag. Why APC without infantry support across the river easily be destroyed.
And the infantry without the FOB's have no chance to strike again and try to turn the match
Forbid or inhibit that BLUFOR use mortars against the bridges does not exist, so I tried the suggestion simplest and most effective in my view, may appear on better suggestions that this

It would just be a matter of coding to make it spit out crates and have reduced passenger capacity.

Um, you just place them over the bridge parts that have been destroyed... it generally takes 1, maybe 2 depending on how thorough the demolitions team has been. It's also so close to the MEC main that it won't take more than 2-3 minutesStealthgato wrote:I tried many times to get CSBs going as MEC in Jabal and it takes so many pieces to get a bridge across the river that when (if) I manage to get halfway some HAT in the hills takes out the truck and that's it. The CSBs are a fucking pain in the *** to deploy and use. I'd rather try to make a 20 meter jump with a scooter than driving my vehicle over it.[R-CON]Psyrus wrote:But honestly... people so easily forget about CSBs!

Have you tried since Rhino added the updated col meshes? Personally I don't find it that hard, but yeah if you're talking about driving one of those thin british jeeps over them... I get where you're coming fromsaXoni wrote:The CSBs are a fucking pain in the *** to deploy and use. I'd rather try to make a 20 meter jump with a scooter than driving my vehicle over it.

CSBs arent really used only due to map constraints. Theyre easy to traverse if you have any spatial acuity, and could be useful, but theres really almost no maps where you would want to place one. Basrah is a good candidate but it has 100 fording points.

I just use them anywhere that they've blown up the bridge. In the last two weeks I've used them on:40mmrain wrote:CSBs arent really used only due to map constraints. They're kinda like the commander position... under-appreciated but a really useful tool if you take the time to actually use them.

Re: Add to M113 with crates Mec Forces in Jabal
Jabal should have an Mi-8.
I think the flag layout and topography of jabal make the map rather abrasive, and the momentum of winning battles is totally stifled for the MEC. REgularly flags like south bridge are simply not captured due to it being such a long fugging drive with those slow trucks.

Yeah that's actually a good tactic, especially on dragonfly. I wouldnt say theyre that relevant on iron ridge though, you can just drive through the river valley and up a few of the sides. Basrah has a few spots, such as the southmost bridges, but at the small rivers in the west, or the northeast bridge, there are lots of places where you can simply drive through the river.[R-CON]Psyrus wrote:I just use them anywhere that they've blown up the bridge. Agree, and the bridge building tool hasn't worked out too well. Remember early on when it was implemented watching these poor saps getting hammered by CAS while trying to bridge build across.40mmrain wrote:Jabal should have an Mi-8.

Re: Add to M113 with crates Mec Forces in Jabal
The problem with that bridge leading to the city of Jabal is that it breaks at 4-6 places. And if your truck is already on the other side of it, the way around can take anywhere from 10 minutes all the way up to an hour, depending on the flag layout. And even if you do have the supply truck at MEC main, setting up 6 CSBs takes a long, long time. Not to mention that using the CSBs is buggy, to say the least. Exchanging the supply trucks for the supply version of the M113 would solve half of MEC's problems on that map. Also, the helipad at Dam can be used to rearm and repair american choppers, making the trip to resupply extremely short for the USMC, while MEC has to take the scenic route to resupply their slow trucks.

Today recorded video showing how hard it is to build a bridge using CSB and 37 seconds shows the Jabal bridge completely destroyed into 6 parts.
The option was to build further north to avoid being destroyed by ATH Atacks but the Huey were destroying the assets.
Therefore, this suggestion to replace the supplies trucks for APC ..

maybe it would be a good idea to just give every bigger APC(BTR or bigger) an option to drop 1light supplycrate or 4ammoboxes

1:50 mark in that vid is why CSBs, especially long and dangerous ones don't solve everything. They take quite a bit of time even without losing a truck, and they are risky to use at best.
1 logistics MTLB and only making the bridge destroyable in one section should help balance the map better.
