Mumble Overlay stopped working suddenly (twice).

For some time both my steam overlay and my mumble overlay have been working fine together- without fail, no problem, then suddenly, not even after a reboot the mumble overlay stopped working once I got to the PR login screen-- I tried opening other games with PR Mumble to see if the overlay would show in something like Killing Floor or CS:S as I read suggested somewhere but saw nothing.

Things I've already tried:

• I've done a clean install of graphics drivers
• I've done a re installation of PR Mumble with revo uninstaller to get the registry values cleaned out too (Followed up by CCleaner)
• I've been running PR Mumble as an admin, of course.
• I've tried adding pr.exe, bf2.exe and tr.exe to the whitelist (though before it had worked without me having done so)
• Multiple reboots, turning on and off the overlay- resetting to defaults and even one complete reinstall of BF2 and Project Reality
• Turning off the steam overlay- which seems to have no effect whatsoever- (Again they worked both together)

What bothers me is that it's been working twice already, once after a clean install and the second time I fixed it with a revo uninstall of pr mumble, but now that doesn't work anymore.

CPU: i7-2620M @ 2.70 GHz
RAM: 8 GB (7.89 GB Usable)
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
GFX: Intel HD 3000/NVidia 4200M (Quadro Drivers)

sometimes it my mumble overlay stop working even when i restart my game and mumble .

to fix this i uncheck the mumble overlay from options and apply changes , then restart mumble and check mumble overlay again and apply changes , run the game after that and it works .

This kind of worked Osama- but I've noticed what happens when the overlay will stop working. Before the game launches I'll get a UAC notice from windows asking for Steam (boot-strapper... something something) to receive permission- if it asks for this, the overlay will not work. If it doesn't, the overlay does. I haven't really been able to find the correlation between what causes the bootstrapper to sometimes request permission and sometimes not, but for some reason whenever it doesn't, it works like a dream. Also I have issues with pr.exe always asking for permission to go through UAC because the publisher is unknown, I'm not sure if this is related with the overlay, but I definitely know that the bootstrapper permission request is.

I'll try and do *another* clean install and see what I can do, but at this point it's honestly just getting irritating. I'm contemplating doing a reformat and just reinstalling everything but I've never done that before and I don't want to mess it up.

I had this same problem...
and never figured out how to fix it 100%.

The best I could do was to not have Steam start with windows boot,
then manually start Steam AS AN ADMIN.
then manually start PRMumble AS AN ADMIN.
then manually start PR AS AN ADMIN.

Except it still breaks the overlay if steam tries to check for updates to the steam client.

SO I gave up.
