I remember on qwai my squad waited in ambush near construction site as a squad came along talking away. We took them all out easily because they were distracted. There was way less idiotic talking and more focus on gaming. Not for everyone. Blame the taunting and spamming on piss poor administration in mumble. It still occurs now with music and smack talk. If there was an ADULT server available maybe one channel could work.

It still blows me away that Mumble integration is a thing at all, especially with local chat. I have a rudimentary grasp of coding to begin with but that you can just intertwine both programs in such an effective manner never gets less amazing.

Kitty, yes that was indeed quite funny and I'm certain situations like that happen from time to time, but for every one guy like that there are 100 guys who would spew pure **** in the exact same situation. If I personally had enough faith in the general gamer I would probably be on your side of the discussion, but my faith in the general public is zero.

Yes. And after watching that the first thing I wondered is if the guy was reported or not. How about making it so the enemy voices sound ALOT more quieter than friendly voices? To your team mates you can hear them clearly at a good distance, how about making it so it begins to fade dramatically after 10 or 15 meters?
Because regardless of the language, this is project reality is it not? Arma has no issue doing this and you can easily talk with your enemies.
Theres been cases in Arma when I've been hiding in the bushes and hear the enemy talk, then as I open fire I hear them screaming and looking around trying to find me.
In my opinion I'd play on a server with those settings more than others.

Is there any way to replace mumble chat from the other side with "allahu akbar" and "omgwtf" (for ins and coalition forces, respectively) on infinite loop as long as they are transmitting? That way you can identify enemy local transmission but cannot understand what they are actually saying(and when they do need to say something to the other side, it sort of makes sense).

i think you are missing the point of all channel chat being fun to TAUNT and CONFUSE. if we ever have all channel mumble as standard ^this this this. it solves all the issues of dead bodies griefing and gives you a nod in the correct direction regarding if its friendly or enemy talking, which at times was confusing in a built up area with lots of units.DigitalRicky wrote:How about making it so the enemy voices sound ALOT more quieter than friendly voices?
