PR crash when loading map

Hello everyone, I installed PR via Desura today hoping to start playing it again after about a year. However, the game crashes whenever I start to load a map, the loading screen dose not even appear. There is no error message and no "PR.exe has stopped working" message, the game just closes. Battlefield 2 seems to be working however.

To see any error messages you have to use windowed mode:

Ah, yes. Thank you. I just tried again and this was the error I got,

"illegal event name"? maybe u running background program which isn't allowed?

I'm not running anything illegal that I know of, maybe the Desura install is bugged?

Have you tried to reinstall the game yet?

Well, installing it using those instructions worked, thanks for the assistance everyone.
