well i think the us were very right in going to war with iraq and afghanistan.
afghanistan was hiding the people who had destroyed the wtc and iraq had saddam who was obviously supporting those people. they just shouldn't have given false information about weapons of mass destruction. that's what made them look bad as far as i know. it made people think they were just going to war to get iraq's oilfields.

I think Israel would be a logical choice. Assuming that the MEC are lead by a bunch of radical arabic nationalists, it wouldn't be a suprise if they ended up attacking the country. Not to mention Israel has alot of unique equipment of their own, not some Soviet leftovers from the cold war.
On another note I would love to see Japan added. I'd have to say no other mod or game has ever included them. Although their not really big on military anymore, they still do feature some unique equipment. Storyline wise it could be possible that China attacked Taiwan, and Japan to prevent U.S forces from attacking the eastern coast.

i like that idea alot as far as china attacking them goes.
or we could always rip off a tom clancy book as far as the story goes and have it so a japanese guy who is angry over the atomic bomb killing his parents (something like that) is elected in japan and tries to create the japanese empire again, that would get australia plausibly into the war and set up some pretty awsome pacific battles with losts of amphibious landings and things like that. of course i guess we could just have china, having taken control of japan, try to extend its reach into the pacific.... just thoughts

On a side note I think there needs to be a story for the game too. DICE really didn't want to get into politcs, so there was really no type of storyline for BF2 at all. Its just a bunch of armies thrown in a mod for our entertainment. If you need help with something like that heres my idea of a story.
December 15th, 2005.
After two years the campaign for Iraq's freedom and government restructure, it was time for Americans to go home. The United Nations and many other peacekeeping countries continued their support to the new Iraqi government. Iraqi guardsman trained by U.S personal are capable of dealing with the ongoing insurgency themselves. Iraq's economy ranked highest among middle-eastern countries second to Israel. And now they were well on their way to becomming a world power.
Meanwhile Afghanistan reamained far behind in terms of economy. U.S forces in the region were predicted to remain there for another 2 to 4 years depending the pace.
However there was a conspiracy among the middle-eastern nations. Nations such as Iran, Syria and Jordan formed an economic agreement, sharing their economy with each other. Many western nations thought that these countries were just trying to improve their economies. However the alliance, soon named the Middle Eastern Coalition, began purchasing the latest Russian military tech on the export market. Ranging from the AK-100 seris to the T-90 MBTs.
At the same time the MEC began exporting vast amounts of oil to China, a developing communist nation. This was done with the intent that western nations won't interfere with their future plans, because if they did, China might be a little angry. However the rest of the world had been oblivious to the MEC's rise to power.
By 2009, 4 years of buildup had been enough. The MEC began attacking several countries in the middle-east and Asia. Those countries included Iraq, Afganistan, Saudi Arabia and Israel. In other terms they stroke a blow to U.S supported nations. However the U.S hesitated to act onto the war. With chinese still threating to invade Taiwan, another U.S supported nation, declaring war on the MEC could anger the Chinese and have them act on the U.S. But after months of debate congress decided to jump into the fight.
During the duration of the war with the MEC, U.S forces had seized key oil wells. This ceased oil exports to China, which had become extremely dependant on middle east oil. China later declared war on the U.S, and began moving its forces west. At the same time China invavded Taiwan, Japan and South Korea to prevent any U.S invasion from the east.
Being as how China was a communist, launching war on a NATO country raised hell among North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The U.K decided to enter the war, not just because they wanted to help the U.S, but because they wanted to captialize on middle-eastern oil as well. At the same time the United Nations and NATO put pressure on Russia to cease weapon exports to the MEC. Russia refused, they needed the profits made from the exports to rebuild their country. Then European nations made an offer to Russia they could not refuse, an invitation to the EU in exchange for haulting the exports to the MEC.
Once the exports stopped the MEC started to run dry. Without a constant flow of armor, aircraft and the like they would eventually lose. Soon the frontlines saw T-72s in action instead of T-90s etc. Eventually the MEC started to lose. With that they began asking China to export their equipment. However China realized that the MEC would be defeated, and refused to export their weapons.
U.K and U.S forces defeated the MEC. And advanced into China, however reaching Beijing from the west would not be an easy task. Therefore U.S and U.K naval forces struck Chinese occupied islands such as Japan, Taiwan and the country of South Korea. And then a beach assault was conducted along the east coast of China. Once troops stormed the city of Beijing, China surrendered.
