Hey!
I remember some time ago there were some guys doing like a little PR-trainings for new players, is anyone still up for something like that that? Im an extremely on&off PR player. "On" usualy after memories of my past failures fade away and "off" when i gathered new ones, haha.
I always really liked the game tho. Now when I have more time I wanted try it again, so I got killed few times like in good old times and decided its not even fun - remember Black Hawk Down, with that Legolas dude falling off the heli in first minutes of his first action? I feel like that, but repeatedly.
Like, today, most of my game were something close to: spawning, walking, walking, walking, dead, spawning, walking, walking, saw enemy truck, walked few more meters, saw dude from that truck, he saw me, dead, spawning, walking, hearing shots, dead, spawning, doing some awesome flanking manouvers, bushes and shit, saw two guys - well, i did even fire few times, but dead. Frustrating. /Digression.
If anyone is willing to "train" me, Id be very grateful. Id play mostly late evenings, Polish time (GTM +2).
Thanks!

If you have a microphone you should be fine if you just join a squad and tell them that you're a bit "off" as you haven't played PR for a while. If they're normal they'll cut you some slack and you'll get into it faster than you know.

Hello!
I used to run some training stuff with alot of good people from this community. Alas, the workload was too much and rewards too little. However, add me on xfire: wiccasick
And Ill throw you around the game abit.
Also if u dont like xfire, join this TS: ts.prta.co

Re: PR Sunday School
One of most important thing to remember when you are walking and dying without seeing anyone: Slow the f**k down.
A lot of people, including myself, sees this huge PR-sized map and want to get to the battle quickly by holding down shift button as much as possible, only to encounter random enemy squad and die/respawn/try again...
If you are not in a hurry to rush to defend an objective or rushing to cap objective(usually only happens in beginning of game), you do not need to be always moving towards objective. Slow down and do a 360 scan every 10 seconds or so(while stationary, preferrably every time when you go next to cover/in concealment) and you will do much better than just walking into random enemy for easy kill.
Especially in those heavily wooded maps; it is often best to just take a listening halt in a bush if expecting enemy contact.
It works in real life; also works in PR.

Often i find people around me almost as incompetent as me, hard to get good squad plus I kinda feel like i dont want to mess up a game for those pr0s by joining their squad and noobing awaysaXoni wrote:If you have a microphone you should be fine if you just join a squad and tell them that you're a bit "off" as you haven't played PR for a while. Oh I do this exactly, which may also explain why i do much worse on those huge wooded maps like you said. I always felt like either im wasting time and not contributing or dying too fast trying to contribute which made me overreact to the opposite.
Its kind of weird that i have so much emotional attachment to this game... Damn, i was propably dropped on the head when i was little.
Thanks for all the help!

Re: PR Sunday School
I was the same. I took a good break from PR and didn't think I would be able to get back into it. Luckily for me, a lot of the same guys I played with before still play. They got me back up to speed pretty quick. Move slow and keep vigilant, don't clump together, and kill the enemy before he kills you, and you'll be fine.
