The warning and kicks commands are there for a reason. Not everything needs to end in a permanent ban.

I'm not sure where you are getting that we are handing out plenty of permanent bans? I was going to do this through PMs since I feel it is easier, but here you go:

French_Fries was banned under a completely different name for suspicious gameplay, which we are investigating right now, he will receive an answer very soon.

nAyow was kicked for refusing to disband his squad after a lengthy discussion about his claims to the assets and refusing to cooperate with the admins. Like I pointed out above, the game is no place to discuss this, he can come into our TS or our forums at any time and we will discuss it properly.
Had he cooperated and re-made the squad properly there would not have been any problems. Obviously he neglected to mention this in the feedback thread here, as many will hide their side of the story in public forums like this and love to claim admin abuse.

There is nothing about any other permanent bans, so your statement must be interpreted as either hyperbolic or a false extrapolation.


I'd like to add that the server we run is a strict one. We enforce the rules strictly and expect players to adhere to them and trust our admin's judgement. We are not flawless but we are open to provide extra info or even adjust the rules if we are convinced that we made a mistake somewhere.

Maybe other servers take a more lenient approach to admining and that is their choice. On these servers I see rampant rulebreaking, racism, derogatory remarks to other players, people stealing assets left and right and this is not the kind of server we want to run.
If we are light on the warnings it's because we are tired of seeing the SAME people day in day out break the same rules or try and walk the same fine line between adhering to and breaking the rules. We believe in second chances but we also believe in learning lessons. We won't keep warning you for the same thing every time, after a while it will be a standard kick or a tempban until the player decides this server is too strict for him or he adapts and we welcome him with open arms.

tl;dr Running a strict server is a choice. Many servers choose to be more lenient, that is their choice, not ours.

Wait what? I didn't forget to mention anything in my post, no one asked me to disband my squad, as I already said, admins said that we couldn't claim the kiowa in CAS squad and we were just trying to ask why since on HOG we've always been able to claim all vehicles with a single CAS squad, so just wondering why such a made up rule all of a sudden.

I never got asked or ordered to disband my squad, which I would have done quite obviously, nor did I refuse to disband it? That kick was out of the blue.

Or perhaps I really received a warning that I did not see? I really highly doubt it but in this case I'd apologize.

If I remember correctly, while me and my friends were playing on your server [OD-S]Noam was kicked wrongfully aswell.

There was a tank manned by =HOG= members, that was killed by an enemy missile. Noam was close to this tank without a HAT kit and he was kicked for teamkilling the tank, when he didn't do anything to it. I even checked the logs with console and noam did not TK anyone.

The reasoning was obviously wrong since noam did not teamkill anyone during the whole round. If it was an accidental kick it's obviously fine but if not, I can't understand why he would've gotten kicked.

I'd like to add that the server we run is a strict one.

I can attest to this. I can think of a few times where we've even kicked players in our own clan. Rules are rules.

I played today on your server Ramiel, Kashan, Muttrah.

In every round here the teams where way to unbalanced. Clans and veterans, where put together and the other side where all kind of random people, with no Teamwork at all.

I mean people that are managing to crash choppers while they are not even in the air, says enough.

Please keep a eye on that next time.

I joined your server today around 21:20 PRT, map Vadso City

We spawned in at at a Fob behind enemy lines, around West city centre.

As we where selecting kits, I saw our commander destroying our fob, where we just spawned.
=HOG=Devilskills was the commander.

I asked him why he did that? as he replied, Stop thinking I will think for U, Get the fuck to east City now!

(Well in my opinion, its good to have a commander. But yelling to me like that, gives 0% respect so I did not followed 'Commander Orders' )

I replied to him that he could fuck off, We are heading West.
He replied something back, Not sure what he sad, sounded like a child.

As the game goes on, Devilskills switched side, and was talking on all chat how noob our team was.

It is unfortunately a common thing to see admins of HOG "abuse" the admin power as they see fit and make up rules to try and justify their actions.

Not long ago there was a huge discussion in the in-game chat because an admin was disbanding all 2 man squads because there was no squad available for him to create his 1 man locked Air-Trans squad. This disrupted the game-play specially since some of the disbanded squads were the ones that were actually doing what they were suppose to.

I can also vouch for what Dogmaster just said as I was on the same team as he was when it happened and also saw our fob be taken out. I would say that if anyone else would have destroyed their own team's fob (1 of 2 available), the HOG admins would probably kick the guy on the spot but since it was one of their members, it is just fine...My squad had to build another fob after that and by the time it was up, we had lost the eastern one.

It seems that bad attitudes and bad examples are seen on a regular basis on this server. It actually used to be better than this but as it was mentioned in other posts, it is resembling =]H[= more and more every day.

The actions of one individual do not necessarily reflect the ones of the admin team that is running this server, but this is obviously not acceptable in any way. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we will try and find out what the motivations were of the person in question and see what we can do to prevent this from happening in the future.

Onil, I have sent you a PM for more information about that 2-man squad incident.

Edit: the commander-issue between our member and dogmaster has been worked out. The commander will try to tone down his method-acting next time.

I have been perma banned without not even an early warning by Brezmans for such a silly racist role-play joke right there (not offending directly anyone, it was just role play), it is been a month now. Tried to make an account on the HOG forums for trying a ban appeal but could not even get an account.

It is fine to be banned for a rule break, I recognize I made a mistake (yet a silly one), but a perma ban was WAY too much in my opinion. I have always been a good player on all servers, can't remember being banned from any other place in those 3 years playing Project Reality. I don't think it is fair to get a perma ban... Anyway, I apologize for breaking the rules.

Any chance of ban removing or decreasing? It is been a while now.

Our server got ddos'd today, we're back online now.

We have been under DDoS attack for about 4 hours now, no ETA on when we will be back up.

Joined today on HOG, Fallujah. Opened a squad with my buddy and two people instantly joined, having mumble ready - great! Then I asked for transport from base - an APC answered immediately and left the battlefield to came back picking up my squad. NICE start!

Later, during firefights, I asked anoter Squad near us for covering us as we were under heavy fire, having wounded people in our house and were about to respawn as the enemy almost got us - no problem, squad 6 went on a rooftop and fought the enemy, sending us a fireteam with a medic. We could recover and fell back. VERY NICE!

Also the commander did a great job. He provided Intel all the time.
I asked if he could move the UAV to give us more INTEL as we had sighted enemys in front of us on the move, so commander did. Meanwhile, Squad2 got wiped right next to the cache and asked for help.
Together with 2 other INF Squads + that APC squad from he beginning covering us, we enaged the building where squad 2 died, climbed up the roof with a rope while the other squads kept our back clean. Roof cleared, cached destroyed, fell back, 2 casulties of the other squads, but nothing more.
AWESOME.

Even if we lost the round, there was a very good inter squad communication going on, with a decent commander and people all using mumble. Ive seen not a single lone wolf, everyone played together.

killing players for spawning on unknowns when it is not on their rule list?

and then kicking a member of our kiowa squad who was flying the squad for asset stealing after he was reported by a newbie H member?

I solicited multiple times why the admin team (6 of which were online at the time) proceeded to kick someone who was in the squad for stealing the squad asset without checking the squad list.

Your admin team is absolutely terrible and has never changed, look through these pages and consider how many pages of complaints against your awful admins there are and you have never made a change. Never tried to improve your admin team.
