Cool feature and we appreciate it a lot but..it shows the current speaker. In the end it is a very useful feature to communicate in local but will not replace Mumble overlay :(

So more HUD in the end: Mumble + this...

How's the overlay now any different? Sure, it shows who's in your squad at all times, but you can see that in the menu as well. Everything else is just the same as what you'll get in v1.0.

As you pointed it it shows who's in your squad at all times. Perhaps, with clan members or friends whose voices you know it is not necessary but public squads require this feature.

IMO, just my 5 cents - if you can manage to implement similar overlay as Mumble's and allow it to be configurable as Mumble's via PR Launcher options it would be great. Or give the option to turn on/turn off overlay. It seems players have troubles setting up Mumble's overlay and implemented overlay would help pubbers a lot :-?

We did fine when we didn't have mumble, it isn't any different now. Not in public games either. You just check your squad in the menu, look at the nametags and see who's talking. What more do you need?

This is what you get in v1.0, no other overlay, not possible to turn on/off, this is it.

But anyways, this thread is not about mumble in PR v1.0.



Edit: I don't know if the new Mumble comes with support for overlays. If it does, the people who like to see their squadmember's names all the time will be pleased. But you'll have the same limitations as the current Mumble I guess. But PR only supports the ingame overlay.
