Authentication server disruption (now back online)

Post by Bluedrake42 »

The DDOSing is getting bad. Servers are going down, its gone from CIA,
and now the main login server is getting hit. Why... WHY!?

But seriously I can't login into the main login server anymore
hell I can't even get the game to start >.>

Maybe I'm crazy and its a coincidence... but its still been happening a lot.

Seems more like EA authentication server, unless those are being ddos'ed. However Mumble was having issues before the logon problem

ATM, at the moment? Using ATM as an abbreviation for at the moment in a post can't be any worse than using WTF as an abbreviation for what the fuck, right? :)

I actually kind of hope EA is getting DDOS'd, especially if its by the same people ddosing cia and hog, because EA actually has the resources to shut them down

It's Gamespy's authentication servers, not EA.

You sign in via a Gamespy account. If you ever played FSX multiplayer, you used one there as well. Of course, the Gamespy check for FSX was pulled in December of 2012.

Everyone, keep your shirts on.

The authentication servers go down periodically. Also, a lot of the US is having awful weather at the moment, so services are likely being disrupted.
