Minimap (No static objects shown?)
On my minimap within the editor, it draws the terrain but not the foliage or objects, any reason for this? Is there a setting I forgot to activate?

This explains all you need to know. Also how to render overgrowth like it should.

Re: Minimap (No static objects shown?)
I've looked through the tutorial, but it didn't really solve my problem. I've took a screen shot of the mini map in the editor and you can see that there are no trees or buildings viewable...

Even though the quality of the shot is poor, you can see there is no trees viewable or any buildings, just the terrain and textures. I feel like theres a setting I have to enable!

First make sure you are on Level editor.
If not, switch to it.
Check, on the right side, in the LAYERS tab, if the layer called "Default" is enabled (checked). If its not, check it.
To be able to see trees or any other artifact created with "Overgrowth" go to renderer-> toggle draw overgrowth". If you placed a tree the same way you placed a building(drag&drop) ignore this.

Re: Minimap (No static objects shown?)
Let me explain in more detail. I can see all the objects and trees in the editor perfectly, its only on the mini map that everything disappears. I've looked through the tut's and found no answer to this problem

Re: Minimap (No static objects shown?)
what Rhino means is that if yu read the tutorial you would understand that this is meant to show the objects in the final minimap, for example in \yourlevel\editor\minimap.dds.
afaik you cannot make the buildings appear i the editor minimap, if you can it would be by typing:
renderer - minculldistance - 3000
in the 3 boxes on top right corner of the editor.

Isn't it amazing that you "looked though the tutorial" and you couldn't find the main thing the tutorial was about....
Don't expect me or anyone else to help you if your not going to look for these answers yourself.

Well sorry Rhino, I was struggling to find the bit I needed in the tutorial and I got a little help and problem solved! I'm just new to this editor and still haven't got a great understand of it yet!
I'll look more carefully next time
