Just had to try it so i played some BF 2142and thought it was alright for single player (assuming you have the right mod). Anyways i found the running and explosion effects very good. From watching the PR 1.0 videos it seems some major improvements are being made to the game effects. I just thought why not implement the running effects from 2142 into PR. Basically in BF2142 when you run there is a slight shaking of the camera, it might sound slight but it drastically improves the atmosphere IMO.When you're sprinting through gunfire with the dirt and snow kicking up at your feet with the screen slightly shaking it seems a lot more authentic. It makes you feel like you're actually running with 40kgs on your back. is there any reason why this couldn't be added?
(disclaimer:i know there was a thread on this like 5 or 6 years ago so just creating a new one given that, that thread died and things have changed since then.)

There is head bobbing already while you're sprinting, and as CTRifle pointed out, it was toned down a little to cater for those people who got motion sickness from the effect.

There is? it must have been toned down quite extensively because Ive never really noticed it. Is there a way you could just make it optional, then our motion sick friends can turn it off and everyone else can enjoy the immersion of head bobbing.
Headbob in general is a terribly unrealistic mechanic in games. With it, your focal point is bouncing around the screen, which is not how our eyes/brains work. It's the same effect as watching a video shot with a GoPro strapped to someone's face. This lack of a focal point is what causes dizziness and nausea in some players.
I'm not one of those who gets dizzy, but I still think headbob is a bad idea, particularly if it can not be disabled. The current effect is subtle enough to draw the player in without things getting messy.

Obviously no. But this is a video game and all you see is a "flat" view from your soldier while in real life you would have a much larger perspective. First person shooters are kind of seen like from a camera. Image if you would be running with a camera, you wouldn't be able hold it very straight and the bobbing would be obvious. I'm just trying to explain why this would be appealing.
Here's an example of how i mean with this "perspective" and camera thing.
I think all has been said. There won't be a comeback of very noticable view bobbing due to complaints of some people who get sick from it, so there's no point in discussing the feature.
Besides, waldov, this was a suggestion outside of the appropriate forum... I'm pretty sure Noddy was very clear about this the last few times.

In an FPS, it's supposed to look like you're viewing things through the person's eyes, not through a "camera".
I don't mind a bit of head bobbing (like it's in v1.0), but really don't want anything more shaky, that's just incorrect and disturbing.
