Paint it Black!

How on earth do you paint something black in the editor? ??:

You should check out some of the settings used in terrain editing

Its on the right when in you are in paint mode, click the color tab and then (its default is black) paint on the ground. If it isnt black, open up tweaker and clikc on a terrain texture layer and find the color box.

Make sure to only select "color" and not "both".
