Direct Download File for Project Reality 1.0 Open Beta

Post by smgunsftw »

I am extremely excited and happy for the PR1.0 Open Beta release, the only problem is that I cannot install it. I've followed the given instructions, and have used Virtual Clonedrive and 7-Zip, but somehow, I just cannot get the installation file to pop up. I'm requesting a direct download version of PR 1.0 by the Devs, hosted on either Moddb, Desura, Filefront, Dropbox, Realitymod.com, or any other host provider.

This isn't really a suggestion, but I'll approve for anyone who has uploaded the current version somewhere (I know a few people did, but forgot who and where) to post it here. moving to general discussion.

Remember that you guys dont really need to mount the ISO.

I just extracted the files to a new folder and was able to use it from there.

Yeap, treating the .iso like a .zip or .rar works as well! Use whatever default program you have for that. If you don't have any, get 7zip or winrar. Just right click and extract.

It's relatively simple. You could for example download utorrent. That's basically a torrent download manager. It'll download the .iso for you. Then you unzip it like a .zip archive, and you have several files, including an installer (an .exe file). You simply run the installer and you're good to go.

I downloaded utorrent. The torrents going at like 0.1 KB/s, and I KNOW my internet is not that bad (I usually get 100-300 KB/s on steam). Will any other method of download be available on the release date?
